I moved my flight to Lucia up another week because I need some rest and relaxation after this election
I must say that the Dems in Nevada, along with NY, and FL need to get their act together.
Nevada has a lot of structural things keeping it mainly blue but elections could go smoother if not for new self-centered goofballs.
The Reid Machine and the culinary union basically saved the state with their work
I used the NV Dems logo for a meme but right now the state party is in shambles, I stop messing with them after 2020. Former Bernie Bros are still mad about 2016, and 2020 that were more interested in hurting incumbents they don't see as progressive enough, than beating the GOP. Their leadership is wasting the time and money of a lot of good people
The Teacher's union is another **** show. Their endorsements help keep a couple of liberals out of state office in 2020. There were not enough votes to increase education spending by taxing mining. Then they don't endorse Sisolak because of a lack of increase in education funding and hurt feelings over the pandemic. This helps the GOP candidate seek into office for governor, and guarantees education funding doesn't increase like they want for the next 4 to 8 years.
In other states, even deep red ones, the Teachers union applies to the Democratic Party. In Clark County Nevada....
The Teacher's union also help sabotage the marijuana money going into schools. I dunno if this is intentional or just incompetence.
We have another Senate race in 2022, and the Presidential. And one of the issues the state party wants to focus on is trying to get a real progressive to primary Rosen.
But in the end, thank socialist Jesus Nevada is filled with a ton of regular people that put group interest ahead of petty beefs.
