The right wingers have quickly become obsessed with ESG.
All it usually means is that institutional investors won’t invest in firms that do businesses with firms outside the US who knowingly use slave labor.
That and some investment groups don’t invest in tobacco, gun manufacturers, and fossil fuels. Although that usually is the case with State employee pension funds in deep Blue States.
Those same CHUDs are the people who ridicule posts on social media that point out how unfair it is that someone who pays $2,000 in rent month after month year after year without fail can’t get a mortgage from the bank that would have them paying $1,500 a month.
They don’t want middle class people, especially younger and/non white people to get financing needed to access one of the few wealth building vehicles for non millionaires. But they can’t stand the idea that Calpers isn’t financing Don “China person” Blankenship’s deadly coal mines.
Right wingers are a cancer and at this point a real short rope and a real tall tree (parody, in Minecraft) are about the only viable answer.

Cops shoot so many unarmed black people and it’s become so normal and routine that even the cop defenders use that fact to downplay any act of police violence that does not involved a fatal shooting.
