As an ER doc working in a conservative state, the restrictions on providing the standard of care for patients is already hard enough. If all the other red flags from these MAGA apologists aren't enough, here is Greg Abbott putting something in place that is unethical, but completely illegal violating not just EMTALA but numerous other federal laws in providing care. , especially in an emergency department setting. The only other state to do this? Desantis' Florida.

Please. Go vote. These people need to be locked up and go away forever.

I live in NY. About 7-8 years ago, I worked for CPS.

Was interviewing a high school kid who was sent from Guyana to NYS by her mom to live with her aunt, in a City with a huge Guyanese population. We're interviewing the kid in the school, the other case worker who is a MAGA. Asked if she was here legally, child said yes. Then directed me to look into it.

I did not

About a week later, the other caseworker asked me did I look into her immigration status. I said "No." Got a condescending why and my response, which got me in like 5 minutes of trouble "Because it's none of our damn business, and if she was here undocumented, what am I going to do? Call ICE to deport a 15 year old? Don't ask me again."

Also you wouldn't be surprised this woman thought Puerto Rico residents were not Americans.

There's 40-45% of the population who really hold us back from just living a normal life.

That clip is all I can think about now when I see or hear the complaints about Trump.
Needless to say I think about that clip every time I enter here😂
Definitely no shortage of ridiculous comments from that dude.

"Harrison Ford is casting his vote in this year’s presidential election for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

The Shrinking star released three videos in partnership with the Harris-Walz campaign, where he explained his decision to support the vice president over Donald Trump.

“When dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms, saying, ‘For God’s sake, don’t do this again,’ you have to pay attention,'” Ford said in one video (above). “They’re telling us something important. These aren’t soft people. They’re governors, generals, standing up against the leader of the party they spent their lives advocating for.”

He explained that for many people, this will be the first time they’ve ever voted for someone who doesn’t have an “R” for Republican next to the names listed because “they know this really matters.”

“The truth is this, Kamala Harris will protect your right to disagree with her about policies or ideas, and then, as we have done for centuries, we’ll debate them. We’ll work on them together, and we’ll move forward,” the Indiana Jones star continued. “The other guy, he demands unquestioning loyalty, says he wants revenge. I’m Harrison Ford. I’ve got one vote — same as anyone else — and I’m going to use it to move forward. I’m going to vote for Kamala Harris.”

In another video released in collaboration with the campaign, Ford pointed out that he doesn’t agree with Harris and Walz on every single policy, nor does he think they’re perfect, but “these two people believe in the rule of law.”

“They believe in science,” he continued. “They believe that when you govern, you do so for all Americans. They believe that we are in this together. These are ideas I believe in. These are people I can get behind.”

The Star Wars star also noted in a third video that he is frustrated about “a lot of things in this country,” like he’s “sure” other people are, too. “But the other guy, he spent four years turning us against each other while embracing dictators and tyrants around the world,” he added. “That’s not who we are. We don’t need to make America great again. Come on, we are great, but what we need is to work together again. What we need is a president who works for all of us again.”

A few miles away, another prison employee, Crystal Minton, accompanied her fiancé to a friend's house to help clear the remnants of a metal roof mangled by the hurricane. Ms. Minton, a 38-year-old secretary, said she had obtained permission from the warden to put off her Mississippi duty until early February because she is a single mother caring for disabled parents. Her fiancé plans to take vacation days to look after Ms. Minton's 7-year-old twins once she has to go to work.

The shutdown on top of the hurricane has caused Ms. Minton to rethink a lot of things."I voted for him, and he's the one who's doing this," she said of Mr. Trump. "I thought he was going to do good things. He's not hurting the people he needs to be hurting."

The cruelty is the point.

Will Trump weaponise the tragic passing of peanut the squirrel (and Fred...) to rally animal lovers to his cause?

The only reason this literal self-described nazi is now taking issue with Trump and his cult is that they're too supportive of jews and Israel
Even with the Media piling on with all the NAZI fascist talk, Trump just isn’t white enough for dude. Buddy acted like he turned in his Trump card a month or so back when Trump slipped up and admitted that he “lost by a whisker” to Biden in 2020 on Lex Friedman podcast.
Haven’t heard the name Nick Fuentes since, but he’s now back eh…

The cruelty is the point.
As mentioned in the article and pictured below, the description of how striking that statement is “he’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting” is an understatement.

“Kamala paying for trans-inmates surgeries” has to be the most frequent ad I’ve see from Trump this election season

Truly amazing they think that is moving the needle for the average voter

Here in Texas all of Ted Cruz’s ads against Colin Allred are saying he signed bills to transition kids in schools. And morons saying their child was being transitioned in school without their knowledge.

The stupidity is baffling. As though understaffed and underfunded schools can afford to administer expensive hormones that are strictly regulated in a backwards state.

How do you feel about Allred's chances?Any other texas NTers please chime in as well.

I think he comes up short. Very close but TX hasn’t gone Dem for 35 years at any national or gubernatorial level.

Apparently OH is in play too for Harris so who knows. Maybe even TX and FL surprise us Tuesday but data makes those the least likely to win currently.

I think it's hard to underscore how badly MAGA will fare when Trump decides he's not going to run anymore.

Whether it's in the next 3 months or 4 years from now when he'll be a drooling himself. Or if he wins on Tuesday (unlikely)

Just listen to Vance who will moderate in debates (kind of) how poorly he does to get support from the people who support him.

The future is hard to predict, and I i have 2016 PTSD,

but if I had to pick and be right, I think Kamala pulls it out.

1. Ground game is (allegedly) meaningful. If it truly is a close election, if ground game means anything, I have to think Kamala has the edge. you read all the reports of Trump ground game essentially being run by Elon, in a shambolic goofy way.

if it's really close, ground game should matter and Kamala has a big edge there.

2. Girls vs Boys. If It's going to be a girls vs boys election I will always pick girls. There's more of them and they vote more reliably.

Trump needs to win a bunch of low propensity latino and black men to turn out in unprecedented numbers. I have to think a lot of these new Trump voting black and brown men, a lot of them will just not end up turning up come election time.

thus maintaining the traditional maybe slightly eroded dem advantage with black and brown voters.

Ultimately Kamala puts together a coalition of old white people, non college educated women and slightly lighter share of the black vote, and wins via the blue wall states plus Nebraska 2.

So if I have to pick i take Kamala. but this is a low confidence opinion. I put it at 55-45 Kamala.
