How do you feel about Allred's chances?Any other texas NTers please chime in as well.

I have some hope, but expect the straight ticket MAGA population to vote for Cruz in spite of his worthlessness.

I live in Austin which overwhelmingly supports Allred, but I still understand most of Texas wants the opposite of progress.

He's not gong to win. I think him playing it safe and being moderate is going to cost him. Running on an issue (the border) that's mainly a Republican talking point and telling everyone you can do it better ain't it. Constantly reminding everyone how willing you are to bend over backwards for Republicans ain't it either.

I'm sick of the idea you have to be Republican lite to win in Texas. The Harris County judge (Hidalgo) is openly progressive and not ashamed of it. She just won a second term the last time she ran, despite all the big money that was going against her.

There is normally one ad or commercial or clip that is really well done that sends chills or tears.
I’ve yet to see one from either side this time around.
Not sure who is in charge of their ad campaigns, chatGTP maybe?……

Seems like that would be the easiest part to slay.
This is just not good

Harris County is Houston, which might as well not even be in Texas. The people deciding state and national politics in Texas are from the rest of the state.

SwampTheVote? Didn’t he want to “drain the swamp”?

the first kamala ad set to beyoncé’s freedom was well-made and more importantly, well-timed. my wife cried as she watched it. gave me the chills to feel hope after i thought it was over.

that being said, some of the lincoln project ads have been wonderfully vicious.

Yep, that first intro ad was fire. People I showed it to also teared up. Very very moving. Great one. Hope they come out with something on Monday to bookend the campaign.

This Iowa thing is funny ngl

I live in Des Moines. Selzer is very well known for doing great polls. And I'm not gonna say trump is gonna lose iowa but his support doesn't seem quite as feverish as it was even in 2020.

Edit-and after reading that breakdown of it, one thing that stuck out to me was 5% of former trump supporters flipping to Harris but NO democrats poled said they'd be flipping to Trump.

One of the things I am ready for along with the election being over is riding with CNN and watching John King work the touch screen. Seeing him do it in 2020 so effortlessly was amazing. And constantly asking for forgiveness when turning his back. A true professional.
