Can someone explain to me how 57% of Floridians voted for expanding abortion rights and yet they won’t win?

Because 60% is required for those amendments to pass. It was the Florida Republicans knowing that a simple majority could undermine their entire agenda, so everything requires a super majority.

Edit: Ohio tried the same tactic, and their voters told the state GOP to buzz off.

NBC had a good point that in 2026, Florida is up for their major state elections. Republicans are going to have to answer for this abortion ban and I don't think the pressure will let up once we get by tonight. Democrats are going to attack the **** out of this ban. DeSantis better watch tf out.

most everyone knew this would come down to the battle ground states. Early panic on Twitter is wild.

Yeah, the same thing we are seeing in GA happened last time. And then they got to the ATL...................

I haven't heard those counties since Outkast Southernplayalistic came out. Brought back memories.

People fail to realize more people live in metro Atlanta than in all of the other counties surrounding the metro.

Because the law was written to require 60% of the vote to pass :lol:

That's why we've been telling people, in this very thread, to vote in EVERY ******* ELECTION! Your local elections are just as important as the presidential election.

Expecting AZ, NC and GA to go to Trump. MI and WI will go to Kamala. It will come down to PA.

He’s made gains in the places he was expected to win. But yeah I’m with you—all comes down to ATL. Hence the bomb threats.

Fayette County he’s underperforming which tracks. Lots of Atlanta folks moved there to buy homes in nice suburban neighborhoods. I think Fayetteville like Henry is going blue as more of the black people here looking to buy homes just outside the metro proper.

Whatever career projection Fani Willis was expecting to get from this is finished. Her career is done.

You can thank DeSantis for that. This is what he wanted :{
I disagree.

That's what his constituents let him do.

Americans need to drop the "defenders of democracy" from their slogan. They're terrible at it. We should have some humble pie and ask the French to teach us how to do this government by the people ****...

To be honest, this doesn't look good for Trump. I don't see how he picks up 75. Let's see!

Bad idea to take Kornacki off NBC News and put him exclusively on Peacock.
