Yea the Europeans have been sounding the alarm even before the election but they've been using megaphones since.

Major rearmament and defense spending spikes on the continent is on the horizon with traditonal allies not willing to stake/tie their nations long term national security situations to a coin toss every 4 years...

The post-WW2 NATO led order of things took a hit during his first term, this 2nd one might put it out of commission for good if the new regime gets their way
Americans will soon realize just how many rural mouths the nuclear umbrella and NATO fed.

It didn't have to be this way, but it was more important to tell the "educated elites" to shut up than to preserve this order.

Oh well 🤷‍♂️
I've been saying....its gonna be the worst **** show you've ever seen now that he has nothing to lose and wants to make sure he gets into history books for all the wrong reasons
He needs to be stopped from getting inaugurated somehow if people want the country saved. He's got nothing to lose and with all the incompetent people he's putting in high position is like giving control of the country to vengeful stupid 10 year olds. I dunno how the world's gonna survive the next 4 years. People should seriously be rioting and screaming the election was stolen like they would've done if they lost. FFS
Don't make the win of the authoritarian bloc even bigger.
Nothing like an assassination attempt on a duly elected president would drive further the point that autocratic regimes have tried to convey: "democracy is no better than dictatorship"

Young people who had never attended a demonstration and had no memory of Tiananmen gathered in the streets of Beijing and Shanghai in the autumn of 2022 to talk about freedom. In Xinjiang, where lockdowns were the longest and harshest, and where repression is most complete, people came out in public and sang the Chinese national anthem, emphasizing one line: “Rise up, those who refuse to be slaves!” Clips of their performance circulated widely, presumably because the spyware and filters didn’t identify the national anthem as dissent.

Even in a state where surveillance is almost total, the experience of tyranny and injustice can radicalize people. Anger at arbitrary power will always lead someone to start thinking about another system, a better way to run society. The strength of these demonstrations, and the broader anger they reflected, was enough to spook the Chinese Communist Party into lifting the quarantine and allowing the virus to spread. The deaths that resulted were preferable to public anger and protest.

Like the demonstrations against President Vladimir Putin in Russia that began in 2011, the 2014 street protests in Venezuela, and the 2019 Hong Kong protests, the 2022 protests in China help explain something else: why autocratic regimes have slowly turned their repressive mechanisms outward, into the democratic world. If people are naturally drawn to the image of human rights, to the language of democracy, to the dream of freedom, then those concepts have to be poisoned. That requires more than surveillance, more than close observation of the population, more than a political system that defends against liberal ideas. It also requires an offensive plan: a narrative that damages both the idea of democracy everywhere in the world and the tools to deliver it.

If he does this, and I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility with Trump (what is?), then he is putting every single American troop in danger that’s stationed abroad. Especially in the NATO countries.

It’s going to be fascinating seeing how crazy inflation is going to go. Looking forward to Zimbabwe style $10,000 bills.

he was the interpreter for Shohei Ohtani (Japanese baseball superstar now in LA if you don't watch) before he got caught embezzling money from his ex-BFF and racking up millions of dollars of debt in illegal sports gambling bets. got federal charges and took a plea deal.

now patiently waiting for that pardon and promotion to the Cabinet :hat

Gaetz as attorney general.
This is basically like a cartoonishly villain cabinet.
That is super dangerous and will have some consequential wins.
But also a bunch of being tricked by a talking dog and his teenager friends.
