What's crazy is these angry young men are running to the right when democratic policies would be more beneficial to their quality of life.
The GOP is selling them an image of faux masculinity and grandeur they won't be helping them achieve. They get to vicariously live through their daddys Trump and Elon though behind their keyboards.

VA but I don't live by a University. Mostly just working adults and families. If I did encounter a few and not notice that only helps the point that it isn't a concern for me.

True, I agree with this as well. It's honestly a subject that would take pages to really dive into so I left my post short.
I just see very often with mainstream media that all Christians have been lumped with the right wing bible thumping extremists because they're the loudest and most obnoxious minority.
I grew up in the church the vast majority of my childhood, specifically the black church in the south and acceptance was a huge part. Toaepps20 point we had a lot of elders who lived through the civil rights era. So race was discussed, we had openly gay active members of the church, people had children out of wedlock. So my reaction to leaving my hometown for undergrad and then realizing people have a negative connotation of Christians being intolerant was mind opening to me. From my experience the people I grew up with and knew from the Church were some of the kindest most welcoming people I had ever met in my life.
I had seen the church raise money for mothers who needed it, go to nursing homes to spend time with the elderly, run summer camps for underprivileged kids in the community so they could go places and experience things they wouldn't otherwise. It just threw me off seeing someone on campus waving a bible and telling people they were going to h***.
But that was me at 18, and now 10 years later I know that people will take religion and use it as a weapon to spread their own bigotry and hatred. Coward behavior to say the least.
Very similar experience church I came up in never treated homosexuality like it was bigger than any other sin and damn sure like it wasn’t the only one. I had bible study teachers would encourage us to learn about other religions and question stuff cause how do you know if you really believe this stuff if you don’t know about more than just that. They was big on drawing the line between what was tradition vs doctrine cause that’s where a lot of places go down a bad path when they start putting the tradition and feelings over what you should be doing. It was a lot of people there actually trying to build bridges and not scare people away. I’m honestly lucky the kind of church I grew up in it’s the main reason despite me not going like I used to I’m not completely sour on religion. But meeting and learning about the experiences other people had the older I got and the types of churches they grew up in made me realize how it could’ve gone a completely different way and not just sour you but make you become resentful of religion.

It's things like these that I really wish there was some way we could use programs like these only for people that voted that way. Of course it's impossible but man im so tired of all these people I know who are eating good based on all of the stuff that dems and Newsom have done in California but then also voted trump and do nothing but complain about the Dems. If it's so bad and they're so bad, then give all that **** back.
