It’s Friday dude, **** is no where close to done and the golf course is closed for the season so who cares?

Management really goofed by telling me that there is no such thing as "mandatory" overtime. Once I learned that it was a wrap for me ever coming in on my off days. One day weekends ain't it!!

Lumpen PoC seem like an important swing voting bloc. They can tip a presidential election, they don’t have strong ideological commitments, and their support for Trump was more of a protest vote rather than a commitment to Trump’s social policies.

At least one of them expressed the "I got mine - papeles - so **** you" mindset that we see a lot on the right.

I don't think it's an opinion to say they could've chosen another election to protest vote for a Republican not named Donald. It's not like he ever apologized to the Central Park Five; it's not like he stopped hiring Nazis.

We actually think a lot about grey areas. Part of the job is being able to manage risk because we don't get to pick all the variables that go into product development, and being unable to control all the inputs means that you have to satisfied with a product that is good enough.

The thing that pushes engineers towards conservatism is the insane focus on efficiency, which is driven by resource management (minimize energy costs) and market forces (minimize cost to consumer). They will generally steer clear of R&D activities that don't show a clear improvement of the product, or that improve the product at the cost of profitability.

Since governments are not in the business of making money, they have more leeway to fund exotic research projects as long as there exists some benefit to the public. Unfortunately, the very idea that the government is allowed to "waste" money in exploratory research is a tough sell for that crowd.

I haven’t worked one. My boss loves me too, like actual friends. Just don’t ask me to do any stupid ****.

I’m good at my job and handle jobs 4x the size of the other crew. Only thing I ask is no weekends and average 50 hours a week. If I can’t get it done he f’ed up scheduling because I’m fast af and that’s on him I’m going home.

Easy to explain
Eventhough the Economy “is good” people are hurting. People dont want the same old thing…they dont want Bill, Hillary, Bush II, Chaney, Obama, Michelle, Pelosi, Shumar, McConnell of Biden. They want radical change. The republicans gave them someone to shake things up.
Thats why they voted for AOC, She shakes things up.

Centrists as President Macron will tell you, is not what the people here or around the world want. Eventhough i like Gavin Newsom as Governor, i dont think Americans will want him either. We need to blood that offers change to the status quo and that challenges Big Tech and Wall Street.
