Its crazy how a lot of people on reddit and youtube are trying to gaslight whether Elon was doing the Nazi salute by saying it was a "my heart goes out to you" and saying pick up a history book lol. Thats not even close how you do that. If anything Elon's clenched lips and audible grunt sealed the deal.
Also saying "its not that big of a deal" or "he did it the first time" about Trump not putting his hand on the bible speaks volumes

My last Temu order is luckily already in the US and should be here Wednesday. None of the feds here in the office seem too on edge or concerned about the RTO order. Last winter through summer, it was common for downtown Chicago’s main streets to be blocked off by massive protests against Israel’s bull @$&$ and our government.

The past few months have been dead silent with zero activity.

This is what those protestors abstained from voting/voted for Trump for though, right? All the bravery and harsh words that were directed at the Biden administration got used up already? Embarrassing.

I've seen this take quite a few places and I can see where it's coming from. I'm not excusing the behavior but I can also recognize that people may have stopped protesting and showing up because they know they're not getting anything out of Trump whereas it was always unlikely but they might have gotten something out of the Dems.

Just something to think about.

I cant make this make sense. You're hurting YOUR country equally, if not more than Canada and Mexico. All these companies that worked to near-shore production during and after COVID are now going to be penalized. Myriad products that we take for granted are going to increase significantly in price across all North American borders.

I am not an economist but I cannot see what benefit this serves. It directly effects me so perhaps I'm too close to the issue, but this will be disastrous if it is anything more than a negotiation tactic.

Just something to think about.

The protestors for worker’s rights, civil rights, voting rights, slavery abolishment, anti Vietnam war, etc throughout the 1800s-mid 1900s faced far more widespread apathy, hostility, deadly violence and still kept up their fights to pressure the government to eventually give in or at least make some compromises.

Imagine all those people doing nothing for those ~200 years because “The presidents are racist and corrupt, so what’s the point”

Being loud and critical towards an administration that at least wanted a ceasefire but complete silence against an administration that is open to turning Gaza into a resort city for white people…that’s not cowardice to you?

Rich people (I'll even go so far to say people who come from generational wealth (aka hand me down wealth)) tend to vote Republican for tax purposes. Rich people who started with nothing and built themselves up tend to vote left.

But that said, "rich people" is a tiny demographic and almost negligible.

What's not talked about enough are the 225million christians (both catholic and protestant) in the US. They range from a mix of poor to upper middle class and have jobs of all kinds. Most are indoctrinated to vote on the side of outdated morals and values. They go to church and do what pastor say. Pastor say vote blue because there is a holocaust happening every day because of abortion then they vote blue. They don't understand medical science. But they must vote blue because.. that's what they are being told to do... by the establishment church leaders who want to keep robbing them and keep not paying taxes.

That is a huge chunk of voters who live life going through the motions. Stay in the box. Don't look left, don't look right. Hang your head down and keep moving forward. Sure, elections are decided on the marginal "swing" voters but the republican party is wholly made up of these comatose religious zombies.

There was always lawyers with hr at my last job. People would sue them to high hell or wreak havoc and cause a million dollars in damage.
