The import taxes would need to be pretty damn high to offset the cheap labor costs of foreign countries. And higher import taxes = raised consumer prices. Your precious muscle car could end up costing a whole lot more than it does now while they still keep their production outside of the US.

Aren't you overestimating the US market a bit? Between China and India, there are 2 billion people. Tax the incoming goods and companies might turn to the East to avoid having to deal with US tarrifs.

I truly do not understand black Trump voters. I totally get black conservatives in the vein of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan but black Trump supporters are beyond me. Do you realize that a large percentage of Trump supporters are alt-right, white nationalists who HATE black people and want non-whites gone?
