***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Global climate isn't about warming ONLY. It attributes to drastic, extreme. climate changes.

I feel like I am talking to a Steven Colbert Parody here.

And i asked for academic papers that you actually parse through. Not a Forbes article that links to a survey.

And the article that that links to the survey doesn't even answer the question on why the issue is 97% is pushed by scientists in the first place. Yes,

I read the part where the guy said Science isn't a democracy nor a consensus but he still needs to answer why the consensus exists at all regarding Climate Change.

I hope this is not how you did your papers back in college dude.

Climate change denialism in 2016. This is the same thing that happened with cigarettes where people were understating their effects. Lobbying did that, just as lobbying is convincing people climate change is bunk science.

guess u haven't seen da Al Gore movie lately to see how poor it aged :lol

they so desperate to revive da issue Captain Planet might be made into a movie to tackle da point :lol

That movie was trash but I'm more interested in studies and articles by scientists :lol I was never on the Al Gore global warming hyperbole train.

When you think about this election results, it is pretty obvious that most Americans have absolutely no idea who does what in government and how it works. People wanted change, but 94% of the senate incumbents and 97% of house incumbents were reelected.

What happened to civics classes in your K12 system? In my poor *** country we had one every school year, to the point where you couldn't graduate HS without knowing who what doing what in government by heart. ****, at least you knew who the president and current prime minister were.

Here, I'm sitting in a classroom full of 18 yo college students, and they can't tell the professor who is the damn secretary of state. A political science class!!!! WTF America?[emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

He wants the current 450 HP, 25 mpg, 30K muscle cars to be 10K and 9 mpg. Dude lives in 4th world conditions so it's understandable

da world hasn't warmed in 18+ years...

hence da new slogan "climate change"
https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201604

Dude. What.

Man I don't even know.

How can you, living on this planet for the past X amount of years, tell any of us that the world hasn't gotten any warmer in the last 18 years.

The combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces for April 2016 was 1.10°C (1.98°F) above the 20th century average of 13.7°C (56.7°F)—the highest temperature departure for April since global records began in 1880. This value surpassed the previous record set in 2010 by 0.28°C (0.50°F). This was also the fourth highest monthly temperature departure among all 1,636 months on record, behind March 2016 (1.23°C/2.21°F), February 2016 (1.19°C/2.14°F), and December 2015 (1.12°C/2.02°F). Overall, 13 out of the 15 highest monthly temperature departures in the record  have all occurred since February 2015, with February 1998 and January 2007 among the 15 highest monthly temperature departures. April 2016 also marks the fifth consecutive month (since December 2015) that the global monthly temperature departure from average has surpassed 1.0°C (1.8°F) and it is the 12th  consecutive month a monthly global temperature record has been broken, the longest such streak in NOAA's 137 years of record keeping.
