***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Maybe I wrote it wrong.

Race obviously played a factor, but there aren't enough Latino's and blacks in the midwest to make Racism a losing electoral college strategy.

I personally avoid calling people racist, it's become a political football that white liberals and conservatives throw at each while both ignore the real damage racism does.

I don't remember any huge liberal outcry when the voting rights act got gutted, but let someone say some racist things, and every loses their minds.

A technology change and easily come along and make the economy boom to help Trump. But it would have to fundamentally change the economy, like the internet did. Deficits are about to expand too.

If they economy heats up, it will just go boom one day, and you just better hope your not in office when that happens.

Trump still has a weak social justice platform. Economic issue and mostly it for white people, even if minorities are doing well, they won't just shut up and allow social injustice to take place.

And he has to be scandal free, which will probably be the hardest thing for him to do.

Trump has a very small margin of error. The first year, the economy good or bad will be put on Obama. The remaining time will be Trump.

But expecting 7 years of late 90s level growth is ridiculous.

I saw ALL OF THAT....and it was still a way better option than ww3, more crime, a worse economy, more lies and less protection.
Get it thru your head that people would rather feel secure and let da bronze gawd say offensive things than feel terrified and be blamed for it forever.
You guys can not stop confusing racism with people wanting security

Are you suggesting there was no racial component to why he got the support he did? And if so or not how do you quantify that? And how to you explain the numerous incidents from supporters with obvious racial and bigoted animus?

late 90's didn't know we was sitting on so much energy either [emoji]128522[/emoji][emoji]128522[/emoji][emoji]128522[/emoji]

I'm pretty sure there's been some Liberal outcry about votings rights being gutted Osh,it's not the fault of supporters that the media wanted to talk about emails/Trump talking **** more :lol

Pretty much. It's disingenuous to say it wasn't.

Some sure, but it's never to the same degree as racist speech.

White liberals and the liberal media for the most part want to hit easy racism, which mostly consists of being the word police.

What level of GDP growth did do you expect?

And energy prices where cheap in the late 90s. What are you talking about?

Arguing about the racial element of the election is largely a waste of time,

1. It's provable fact to anyone who wants to take the time to look it up.

2. It just annoys white people and until some latino people move to the mid west you have to placate their annoyance.

finally..some common sense.

I think it went over your head that he is saying race played a part in this election, and that you have to consider the racial feelings of white people unless Latinos move to the Midwest and turn those states more solidly blue. Like they did in CO, MN, and NV.

no, it went over your head.. understand da political realities before u lecture folks on SJW checkboxes is what he meant.

He thought you were saying race played no part in the election for white people.

I was telling him that he misinterpreted your comment. That you were saying it clearly did.

The same way id explain the numerous incidents of violence and protest from the other side...

Some people are just idiots.

What im saying is that he spoke to the issues that the majority of white voters( which happens to be the majority) were concerned about.

Those issues did not include PURPOSEFULLY making life harder for minorities, as so many in here just love to suggest.

When two white people run against each other we dont choose sides due to complexion,  so I dont know how much I can expand from there.

Obamas election also proved that we wont always vote for the " lighter skinned option" out of pure malice for those unlike ourselves.

Don adressed problems out loud that our TVs have scared into closed back rooms. Thats why he won

Did Ninja do that?

I don't think Ninja is dumb he is obviously aware of the racism of Trump appeal. that's part of why likes him, because it represents being on one side of a culture war

plus he doesn't consider himself black anyways right?? :lol :P

He's mostly just trolling people, aint no one other than the "liberal media" buying the economic anxiety argument. :lol

Umm, I have never ignored the economic despair among poor whites. I have expressed frustration over them indulging in racism when their economic futures are tied to poor minorities more than rich white elites.

I get upset about the racism they indulge in, because if it was strictly about economics, Trump supporters could have supported Bernie.
