Is it too soon to start claiming all of these actions as Fascist? Cause if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck...

@nytimes:
The woman who laughed during the confirmation hearing of Jeff Sessions was convicted and could face a year in prison https://t.co/xBDrAdIP8U

So much for that 1st amendment...

The ACLU might become the most important organization in the country for everyday citizens over the next 4 years given the direction things seem to be heading, legit being prosecuted going to jail for laughing at an official is some next level kind of overreach... :x

http://thehill.com/homenews/news/331788-obamas-donating-2m-to-chicago-summer-jobs-programs

Former President Barack Obama announced Wednesday that he and his wife, Michelle, are donating $2 million to summer jobs programs in Chicago.

“One of the things that we’ll be starting this year is Michelle and I are personally going to donate $2 million to our summer jobs programs here in the community,” he said at the South Shore Cultural Center. "[It's] so that right away young people can get to work and we can start providing opportunities to all of them.”

But Wall St. speeches doe. :rolleyes

If that's where the money is going towards,not even that mad :lol :hat. Should still be separate though

Gonna be great to see all the work he'll be doing in and for Chicago over the next little while

alright...it's getting a little scary...

It's absurd and these are the same folks that wrap themselves up in the constitution...

Setting a real terrifying precedent

Conservatives are massive hypocrites

Claims to be about free market capitalism, yet indulge big business

Claims to be for small government, yet runs huge deficits, seizes land, and wants to control women's bodies

Claims to be for the working man, yet is anti-labor

Claims to be for the middle class, yet is anti consumer

Claims to be about self sufficiency, yet is for cooperate welfare

Word,the cats been out of the bag for a while now. Ethno-nationalist solidarity >>>> conservative "principles"

How they keep managing to get away with all the astounding hypocrisy scot-free because of the big R is kinda disheartening though :{

It makes me think of Maher this week saying that Dems need to quit playing "identity politics"...

The GOP's ENTIRE playbook has always been based off of blatant identity politics :lol :rolleyes

I will be honest, I never heard the word "identity politics" be used in real life.

Only online and NT where I have heard people throw that word around.

Convicted of what? Laughing? This is just absurd. Then again, I've seen journalists go to jail for years for publicly mentioning the declining health of their country's president so...

Yes, Bernie should not have said what he said about "identity politics" since the biggest practitioners of identity politcs or low income, white Republicans.

In my own neck of the woods, it's a little different because the Chicanos, who are politically active, may not use the loaded term "identity politics" but they are just as far to the left as as "Bernie bros." They are just as socialist if not more so then myself. They mock other Latinos who vote for center left candidates who seem to offer up very little policy wise but who toss in a few Spanish words from the DNC lecture.

The consensus among the Chicano studies alums is "using the word 'Abuela' is no substitute for a good job a better housing situation and affordable healthcare." Also, when they mention "Abuela" they aren't so much talkin gabout Hillary's tone deaf twitter hashtag, they are usually talking about other Chicano politicians who rae inauthentic. They usuall ycome back to Julian Castro's 02012 DNC speech where he talked about progress bein ga relay race. It wasn't Bernie bros who saw it, it was Chicanos who saw that as the prime example of brown washed, neoliberalism and gradualism.

A side note, and I agree with them in this one all the way. Stop with the speeches in Spanglish. Either speak in standard English or actually give a speach in Spanish and let the closed capition people try to keep up and translate. But a lot of the cats from UCSB and Cal Poly' Chicano studies departments see a few spanish words or one sentence, in spanish, as something to make you trust a politician less than if they spoke seriousl yand English about the issues that affects poor Latinos.

The other thing I love about Chicano studies dudues is that unlike Bernie bros, they are still more practical, they still show up on election day and vote for democrats because they know that Republicans are always bad news.

Feds on Rudy's trail

@TrueFactsStated: I now have 2 sources within legal community confirming that a D.C. area judge has signed 2 warrants related to Comey's Trump investigation.
