These waves of right wing populism are only successful when the Conservative Establishment legitimatizes them.
A lot of wild and interesting things happening in the 2016 election but the fatc is that Trump won partly because all Republicans came home at the last minute. Libertarians didn't protest vote is droves like they said they would, moderates didn't split the ticket, even Mormons swallowed their pride and voted Trump. That is because the establishment fell in line and put party over integrity.
The same thing happen with Brexit. Cameron legitimized UKIP racist ********, and played with fire so much that it burned his *** in the end.
Fillon even though he adopted some of Le Pen's nationalist messaging at the end of the day rebuked her *** in favor of Macron. The establishment right in France didn't legitimize Le Pen's nonsense, so she had no chance, she had to beg socialist.
The GOP are no integrity having scumbags, but dem fools believe in self preservation. When things really start looking bad, they are going turn on Trump heavy. Trump better hope the FBI really has nothing, the GOP can only act obvious to reality for so long. Trump becomes and illegitimate president when the conservative establishment views him as one.

Yup. Even if there is no wrongdoing with respect to collusion with Russia, trump has now engaged in a couple acts and also made public statements that could qualify as obstruction of justice.
It really comes down to a handful of Republicans crossing the aisle.
Still, regardless of how this plays out, people need to go out and vote in 2018.
