***Official Political Discussion Thread***

These con dudes can never ever use 'radical leftists/socialists/commies' or whatever buzzword de jour they have for liberals in the right context.

Political discourse has been pushed so far to the right that anything or anyone to the left of slick willy is now "radical" all of a sudden :lol

Dudes must've flunked civics/poli-sci hard

Hey. A cartoon alien **** being jerked off by itself offended the same posters that were upset when French cartoonists were shot up by radical Muslims for depicting Mohammed in cartoon form

Just saying, for those who are following without posting anonymously

lol this guy is going on a nonsensical rant even after a republican wins in Georgia
Sawft

Sad! Institutions have done too good of a job protecting us from the manbaby.

So he lost because our government stopped Trump from doing a ****** job?

I'm trying to understand you guy's logic on this one.
precisely.

i was half-joking and I'm of course happy that the courts and others have done their job.

but it's an interesting thought to have -- if trump had actually accomplished everything he wanted to, would Republicans have won in this special election? would it help or hurt them in 2018? i.e. it's possible AHCA would have hit home for a lot of trump supporters and they would've thought twice about voting Republican next time. although the Georgia district today was wealthier so they may not have cared.

i posted an article a couple weeks ago. the gist was that there is a fraction of Americans who feel left behind but their goal is not to cooperate or even to accomplish their agenda. their main motivation is to give the system a big **** you. here's the article: https://www.thenation.com/article/t...e-of-trumpism-his-name-was-hunter-s-thompson/

point being, at the end of the day they don't care as much about trump navigating DC and getting laws passed. what really gets them off is when their sugar daddy bucks the establishment.

I'm just throwing something out there to think about. you know, since people were *****ing and moaning about da coal train yesterday.

Kind of, but if the healthcare "reform" gets through senate and messes over many Republicans that rely on such healthcare, prepare for a bloodbath.

Meant to quote why we steppin

Y'all keep saying "repubs gonna mess up their constituency and it's gonna get ugly"

Repubs been going against the constituency's interests for decades.

Why y'all think it's going to change now?

What evidence is there that there will be a shift b/c Repubs are screwing their voters...

When Repubs have BEEN screwing their voters and nothing has happened so far.

Uh do you remember why Obama won 2008? And why the democrats had a majority by then. Just saying.

Messing with folks healthcare tends to have them singing a different tune though given how it hits home. Word to all the GOP members of Congress to scared to hold townhalls anymore due to the outrage at the AHCA in their constituencies

I feel that.

Makes sense.

Do something to earn ones vote rather than alienate anyone who disagrees with you and you may have a chance at winning something in the next decade

:lol @ whoever reported me.

Welp. Enjoy your echochamber of radical left leaning propaganda fellas.

Just take a look at a poster like Rusty Shackleford and hope you never end up like that guy

Anyone with sense knows that this thread is heavily moderated. Meth has been in here multiple times to tell us to keep it clean.

BTW, your mans Ninja actually wants it that way.

I didn't report you, but I knew someone trolling for a reaction wouldn't have the impulse control or cleverness to throw shade without getting clipped.

It is a recurring them with right wing trolls in here. But my all means, proceed to with your shtick. This radical lefty finds it somewhat entertaining, sad, but entertaining none the less.

:lol handullz handullz my advice still remains, do better.

true. i guess i would say that we can't oversimplify this. voting patterns don't come down to logic and pure self-interest.

on Eddie's point, the Iraq war ended up hurting Bush. but it didn't have a huge effect on most Americans. my day-to-day life was relatively unchanged. but the perception that it was a bad war to enter into was enough to change people's votes.
