We need to stop trying to rationale why people are supporting Trump. Everything alternative explanation given from his business record, to foreign policy, to economics, to "shaking up the establishment" is really not the reason. You me and other folk have torn those arguments to pieces

There is not punishment for being a racist in America, but there is if you get outed as one. A vote for Trump is a way for most people to indulge in all their bigoted, sexist, xenophobic, racist, internationalist terrorist/bully fantasies but still have some level of deniability to protect themselves from being labelled.
