I can speak from 8 months of experience...32 is definitely the washed threshold.
Just don't start wearing ill fitting chinos or default character polos with the curled collar and most people won't know. You'll know though. You'll always know.

As much as I am anti-police-shooting-people shooting to maim is silly - if you shoot them in the leg you can still hit a main artery and they're dead within minutes.
But, there are plenty of less-lethal options available - taser etc. - which are significantly more appropriate for someone with a sword, a junkie who is a threat to themselves or traffic, a guy waving a gun but not shooting at anyone...
What I do know is that if you must shoot someone you knock them down - you don't empty your and your partner's weapon (multiple times?). That's just unnecessary.
