Van Jones is the kinda person that invites Big Momma's 2nd alcoholic ex-husband, Percy, to the cookout. The one that used to abuse Uncle Zel, cheat on Big Mama, and made a pass at Aunt Shirley when she was only 17. Because Van thinks it is time everyone make peace and try to be a family again.

aepps20 aepps20 and I had to practice some bipartisanship and I told him to go get the bone saw.

Well said comrade. A lead left from RustyShackleford RustyShackleford and a left hook from me and the rest is history. We were just kids though.

To be fair I think Gillum got the wind in his presidential sails most. He would be coming with Florida, will energize black voters which I feel has been shown these last two years to be necessary for Dems to win. Gillum has shown he's not scared of Trump calling him out multiple times and referring to him as weak and a bully. He's also going to avoid all of the flack that is going to stain anyone associated with Congress in 2 years because once the Dems win the house nothing is being done except passing spending increases...... barely.

I also think he's made inroads with both the Bernie and Clinton waves of the party and let's be honest...... America misses Barack something serious right now and would clutch on to Gillum as potentially Barack the 2nd. Even his #bringithome tag feels grassroots enough to become a national slogan.

The only real issue is he has to have the perfect vice president. Somebody with a justice background because that is going to have to be rebuilt from the ground up, maybe a woman. or someone like Biden that a deplorable would want to have a drink with.

Honestly, Dems need to find the person who can clap back at Trump the best and go with him or her. As much as I'd like to pretend it's about policy and new ideas, it won't be. They need somebody who can come at Trump's neck, and consistently tear him down for the idiot he is

Taking the moral high road and just ignoring his insults and sticking to policy wont work.

The Democratic nominee needs to be able to check Trump. They don't need to match him insult for insult.

A race to the bottom with insults will be a losing strategy. A candidate can push policy without being wonkish. If you can't elevator pitch your ideas, that is when folk tune out
