A new AG can severely hinder Mueller’s probe without firing him, and do so largely out of the public eye.
If you stifle all further lines of inquiry you can cripple the probe pretty effectively. It won’t change what’s already there but it can hamstring what’s next.

Mueller has been busy the last 60 days, just largely in the shadows. Just in the past weeks another 3 Roger Stone associates testified before the grand jury.
