Not enough millenials are voting.

i feel like i dont get this sentiment. everyone keeps saying so and so aren't coming out to vote... when the tallies are all said and done the dems always outnumber the republicans in voting.

they definitely came out to vote in tampa and miami and orlando and jax..... but they dont exist in pensacola and locksahatchee and kissimee and sanford etc etc. i dont get why the ideology is always focused on "we need more numbers"

truth be told, the blue areas in this picture outnumber all of the red by a ratio of probably 3 to 1. but because of how the system is setup, its about county by county. i dont see how the two ideas coincide. TO ME, it seems the only real way to balance the scales since you cant do it by sheer number, is to spread the votes out over distance. take a few thousand votes and instead have them vote in the county next to em kinda thing.

1 million people voting blue in miami, orlando, tampa, and jax wont be enough to outweigh 500,000 spread out across the rest of the state.

i hope yall get what im saying

Thanks for bringing the thread back to reality.

Also, Mueller is probably not getting fired.
No need to fire him when you can hamstring his investigation and essentially bring it to a halt. Exactly as the new acting AG described on tv.

...And a surplus of millions of dollars was gained from prosecuting Manafort. Mueller's investigation has ramped up a pretty good profit. Unlike Trump's cabinet secretaries who have repeatedly spent millions on unauthorized travel, unauthorized security, ...

Yeah you kinda lost me.

Sure drawing better districts will help, and voter suppression hurts all kinda races. Statewide and district.

Neither of those do not happen if folk do not turn out. Dems can't redistrict when they are out of power.

I keep seeing tweets like this but I'm not sure if it's just blind optimism.

Probably the latter. Only Rosenstein knows exactly what Mueller has been doing.
However the special counsel was reportedly made aware of at least 2 attempts to fire him, one of them in the form of a directive that was issued but the WH counsel refused to take it and threatened to resign. It's reasonable to assume that some form of contingency has been in place but there's really no telling what that might entail, if anything.

That first attempt to fire Mueller reportedly occured in June 2017 and was even confirmed by Fox News, resulting in Hannity having to eat his words just minutes after dismissing it as fake news.
The second attempt reportedly occured in December that year but no directive appears to have been issued. A news report claiming Trump's financial records at Deutsche Bank had been subpoenaed by Mueller invoked Trump's fury, however Mueller's team apparently reassured him that the reports were inaccurate and did not involve Trump personally.

Expecting everything to turn around in a single night of voting is naive. You can't expect to undo centuries of racism and white supremacy in just one election. Imagine where we would be if abolitionists and civil rights activists gave up because **** didn't magically chanice overnight. Despite the losses and the backlash they still FOUGHT to get things done. Too many people of my generation want instant gratification. Are we going to let these old ************* ruin our future? Their time left on this planet is way less than us to deal with the crap they're leaving us with. We gotta fight them tooth and nail. They've been skating too long on our laziness, naivete and lack of care. Off of age and changing demographics alone their time is running out but not going out there and voting is letting them off the hook and allowig them to **** us until the grave. We gotta put more pressure on them. Think about it, they've haven't been this blatant with the racist rhetoric in age because they feeling the pressure.
Let me stop here before I ramble more.

Cliffs: GO OUT AND VOTE WHEN ITS TIME. KEEP UP THE PRESSURE. IT DOESNT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT BUT WE INCHING CLOSER.

Question for Hispanics, Cubans, Puerto Rican’s..in here? How do you they view black men? Is it a certain belief about us? I’m looking at Florida numbers and it’s surprising to me that Gillum didn’t get more votes amongst you guys. I’m very curious. He is very pro immigrant. Just want to informed?
I’ll answer this one. I’m Puerto Rican and I voted for Gillum. Most Puerto Rican’s vote for Democrats, while Cuban’s lean Republican, so keep that in mind. The counties which have the most of us actually voted heavily for Gillum, but these are also the more liberal parts of the state and where most blacks live as well.

In regards to the question about electing a Black man, both Puerto Ricans and Cubans would not elect a black man to office, period. Puerto Rico has never even had a tan skinned governor, let alone a black man. They view blacks as inferior, and not intelligent enough to hold office. This is a view held by most over 40, and is just beginning to change now amongst the younger generation.

Even our representatives in the House of Representatives fall on the lighter end of the spectrum.

Surely he will recuse. :rolleyes
I sure wonder why Trump chose him. What could possibly be the reason?

By Matthew Whitaker
Mueller's investigation of Trump is going too far

Whitaker on CNN in 2017 laying out a potential scenario of how to cripple the Mueller probe without firing him:
"Really, I think ultimately what the President's going to start doing is putting pressure on Rod Rosenstein, who is in charge of this investigation as acting attorney general, and really try to get Rod to cut ... the budget of Bob Mueller and do something a little more stagecraft-y than the blunt instrument of firing the attorney general and trying to replace him."
