Giuliani jokes he has 'very good insurance' if Trump turns on him

California has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. They literally have background checks. This is nonsensical and shows a lack of understanding of federal and state law.

But...this is the kind of stuff people run with...It’s provocative...it gets the people going.

According to a WSJ report yesterday, the grand jury in the McCabe case met in September to discuss charges but did not issue an indictment. DOJ has since reverted their stance in a FOIA lawsuit where they blocked the release of McCabe records on the basis of an ongoing proceeding.
For the grand jury to issue an indictment, only a simple majority out of 23 jurors is required.

McConnell is on his way out if the Governor election of Kentucky is an indicator of what’s to come. I’ve been seeing Ditch Mitch bumper stickers and signs in Kentucky for as long as I can remember. Dude looks like a soft shell turtle. Makes me ashamed to share his first name :smh:

Then subpoena and hold people in contempt.

The House can do that and they are choosing not to. I wonder why.

Half of that equation has been done

and as I said above, they could be getting other testimonies on record and building a case

AND they could hold those individuals in contempt until they testify.. also lays landmines for those who may not be inclined to tell the truth under oath

Can we pump this **** to like 10% approval or something?

We don't need 10 ******* candidates

Joey Walnuts, The Bootyjudge, Don Lizzy and Colonel Sanders.

Seems obvious that folks are losing confidence in Biden. And they don’t think a far-left candidate can win. Personally, I think Bernie has the best chance of defeating Trump. But the DNC would never let him win the primary.

Mmmmmmhmmm

“Could” but won’t. Wonder why.

I get it. If you can’t argue the facts or the law, slam the table.
You argue in bad faith and are impervious to facts. Here's one fact for you that you can wrestle with when you finally gain some appreciation for and desire to apply logic: there is no border patrol between Nevada and Cali to make sure that Americans with guns don't enter CA armed.

No verdict today for Roger Stone. Jury deliberations will continue tomorrow.
Judging by the jury question, it looks like he'll probably get off at least on count 3.

For reference, here are the charges:

Remember that Trump's attorneys have been arguing that the president enjoys complete immunity from any criminal investigation, and that this immunity extends to grand jury subpoenas to third parties like Trump's accounting firm, as well as associates closely linked to the president that are included in such a subpoena.
His attorneys literally told the appeals court that if Trump shot someone on 5th avenue, law enforcement should not be able to investigate him, period.
That argument leaves Congress to take up the tax matter, however Trump's attorneys are also arguing in another case that he does not have to comply with the law that says the Treasury Secretary "shall furnish any returns" upon written request by certain authorized Congressional committees.

In the petition for cert, Trump's attorneys argue that the Appeals Court wrongly decided that the president does not have the complete immunity they argued for, going much further than the 1973 OLC opinion. As mentioned, their claim of complete immunity from criminal investigation is not simply restricted to Trump himself but also to third parties and hypothetical co-conspirators.
The grand jury subpoena in this case was not issued to Trump directly but to his accounting firm.

Trump's attorneys also previously argued in this case that United States v. Nixon was decided incorrectly.
