***Official Political Discussion Thread***

One of the biggest failures of the Republicans in government in the past 4 years has been their inability to let Trump know when he's being a dip****.
I thought that at first. Then I realized that Trump really is the personification of the super ego of the GOP. Every unpopular policy they wanted to implement only could have been passed by somebody like Trump: not beholden to the party, not a career politician, and not accountable to the portion of the constituency that doesn't believe in the real GOP platform (I got mine, **** you and segregation). Only he could've passed policies like the Muslim ban, the family separation at the border, and the tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefited the wealthy because he doesn't need to fake decency and concern for all Americans like those who have made a career out of being in the GOP (politicians, strategists, etc...). If any of those unpopular policies backfires, they can all point towards Trump and avoid the blame.

The inability to call him out was never a bug; it was a feature, and thanks to Trump's presidency, they know just how many in their party support what the dog whistles are supposed to hide.

Trump thinks he’s taking over the mantle of Captain America. He got his super soldier serum at the hospital and he’s good to go now.

Thank you! I’ve been trying to figure out how to say this for awhile and your post was very well said. We’re all quick to shoot the messenger, in this case Trump, but he’s really just doing the work of the established GOP members who have dreaming of this for decades.

Damn he really is sick. That's sad for him to push himself like that. You gotta feel sorry how stubborn he is. Unreal he could literally drop dead while giving live short briefings.

Probably while tweeting. Face gonna fall flat on the keyboard.

His final tweet gonna be like "Keep America Gresdfyurssxdttuubjkjnnm"

gonna look like when Akademics passed out on IG

:lol
