honestly, why should "we" care?
cops have been on the wrong side since forever. and this summer they showed their *** to everybody by going even further out of their way to abuse and murder those who called them out. people been pleading to stop murderous cops and they went out and killed even more.
"we" (this country) have chosen to ignore an entire population of people in this country - people who, aside from native americans, have been in this **** country the longest (and not by their own choosing) and who have built this country with absolutely no recognition while statues of those who've caused havoc and pain remain to remind the rest of us of the "law & order" that these people upheld only for themselves with the help of cops

It clicked for me what they mean by division and unity. They’re not talking about unity of the country between right and left. They’re on red alert because of the potential fracturing of their own party. That’s the unity they’re concerned about.
