There are a lot of things I hate about David Clarke. His goatee is near the top of the list. **** looking like a burnt snapchat emoji.

Not a Jersey native but I've lived here for a long time. They've been trying to move gambling up there for a minute and it continues to fail. I got friends and fam who've been laid off for a while now and still can't find work. Unemployment is crazy high down here.
NJ native too. Christie can't run for reelection in 2017. The casino thing aint happening

Dry snitchin
Yall gotta make sure Christie doesn't get reelected. But I'm not surprised most of yall don't move, yall property taxes are ridiculous, almost makes me appreciate the taxes here in PA......almost
Not centralized leadership, but a centralized goal. The goal of BLM will vary slightly based on location and it seems that one location won't even know about another location or their efforts. They also gotta come out and denounce the crap they get accused for i.e. the cops getting shot in NY, the white kid getting kidnapped in Chicago.
Man, this state been Red for awhile B and that ain't changing anytime soon Christie been trying to steal people's pensions and move casino gambling to North Jersey, effectively robbing AC of their industry. Dude been a crook and still hasn't answered for the stunt he pulled with the bridge
But yall right behind us when it comes to them taxes
Black activism has always been this fragmented free for all of different organizations with different ideas fighting the same battle but not wanting to link up. It just reeks of disorganization.
I have friends who are activists in BLM organizations all over and all of them are doing different work. Alot of em don't even focus on the policy platform that was instilled on the organizations main site. They're just doing their own thing under the BLM banner
I don't wanna get to deep into this because this isn't the black culture discussion thread, but I am growing disillusioned by what activism in our community is turning into; people who aren't really doing any grassroots work but are quick to take checks from orgs that our complicit in our current condition.
And with BLM being offered $100M by the ford foundation it makes me wonder how much their message will change if they take that money. They have a very radical policy platform. Money from outsiders can compromise that.
lol I hear ya. NJ has these small towns and boroughs that don't wanna consolidate. Everything is separate, which adds to higher taxes. You're right, forgot yall have a term limit set for governors, which is good.
But yea, I think the discussion about black activisim should be left in the BC thread so it doesn't get mucked up in here. But school taxes here is what really kills us, that and all these small boroughs who are too stupid and stubborn to see that they can't stand on their own so they heavily tax the people living there.
Yea,I don't feel like arguing with trolls. Dudes wanted to discuss economics so I posted some information to get a convo. No one has responded so farYou're right, forgot yall have a term limit set for governors, which is good.

I will do a good turn daily. Here is my good turn for today. Please tell me what is unlawful or unconstitutional about the immigration freeze? Id love to know what you guys mean when you say that.
ZAKARIA: Parse that out for me. You're saying that it's unconstitutional and unlawful, why?
ROMERO: The executive order does a couple of things. It’s a moratorium on all refugees. It prohibits the entry of Syrian refugees. It bans the entry of individuals from seven countries. That includes even green card holders. That includes individual who have lawful visas. And then it carves out an exception for minority religions. Taken together, the four components of the executive order we think violate the due process protections of the Constitution, the equal protection clauses of the Constitution, violates some federal statues -- the Immigration Nationality Act. We think it also violates some of our international treaties and conventions, and violates the First Amendment. The First Amendment is one of the core principles of our Constitution. It prohibits the government from either favoring or discriminating against any one particular religion. And here you have Mr. Trump saying that we're going to exclude individuals from predominantly Muslim countries, and then he carves out an exception for minority religions. The executive order is a smoking gun that violates the First Amendment.

The same problem is happening where I live now.

There were green card holders who were detained and not allowed to see legal counsel without due process.
If you don't see what is unconstitutional about what happened over the weekend, you should really take the time to educate yourself on our rights and what this country is supposed to stand for.
Some of y'all blow me away with how little you know, yet how boisterous you are when you voice your opinions.
would have loved to see Obama's face when they said, "the Obama administration picked these countries, we're just following up on that"

lol yup, towns with a population of 2,000 just have to have their own police and fire stations.

Truth, the area where I live is a whole bunch of boroughs forming our school district. At least 3 could be consolidated to form one borough that's not even large but at least medium but they rather be separate. Half the time u don't even realize where one ends and another begins if there isn't a sign posted.
