Lint roller does nothing :lol

I have a microfiber couch and hardwood floors... I’m constantly trying to keep up with the hair going all over

But the hair on the couch is what drives me the craziest... I need a vacuum or something

I'm still looking to adopt. Looking for a medium sized, affectionate breed. Always had labs, but maybe leaning towards a hound.

These Treeing Walking ****hounds are pretty cool

Any other tips on breeds?

my guy is a treeing walker/bloodhound

hes the most challenging dog ive ever had

walkers can be very stubborn and are primarily used as hunting dogs (he’s just my pet) so it can be tough for them to adjust to being a “civilian” if they grew up in that world

their nose can get them into trouble i cant count how many times ive had to carry my guy out of a ditch or whatever b/c he was going after some week old mcdonalds or roadkill or something :lol

they also need quite a bit of exercise so be prepared for that if u get one

they are great dogs tho

fyi my guy is a rescue who was fending for himself in the boonies before they found him so a walker you get might be more low key but those are pretty much the breed specific things

good luck man

evening walk the other night

smatrickewing718 smatrickewing718 Appreciate that information my guy! Probably not the best breed for me, given their demands. Looking for a slightly more laid back breed. They are cute though.

So my lady resorted to buying one of those bark & react collars for her pup. It's not a shock, but it's a slight vibrate every time she barks. Amazon reviews were very positive in that many people claimed it did help the barking situation. Yesterday in some training she would leave the apartment, and while barking would happen, it was very faint and way less amount of times than the past few days.

one of the beagles is 10+ and just naps all day the other one is like 7 and never shuts up

you never know how its gonna shake out

i was talking to my neighbor who grew up beagles and she said i loved them to death and would do anything for them but after they passed away i was like im never getting a hound again :lol

We did the dna testing on both our dogs and they both had chow chow in them, still seems so odd to me  i never even seen a chow chow before and both my rescues have chow in em?

Ive seen that in a lot of rescues as well. Tests show chow chow but never actually look like chow chows. Then i start thinking where the hell are all these stray chow chows laying the pipe across the country

Any potty training and/or discipline advice? My little guy still just plops down and does his thing right next to the puppy Pads.

Positive reinforcement/operant conditioning.

Take him outside frequently for walks and to play and whenever he relieves himself, give him verbal feedback and use treats to let him know that he did good. Do the same thing when he goes on the pad.

Think my girl has to put her yorkie on Prozac when we have her steadily by our apartment. Anyone have history of using it for their dogs?

Her first week with us since our move, when we'd leave for work and be gone for 7+ hours 5 days a week, she would literally cry and bark nonstop all day. Any other suggestions besides leaving the t.v on/music playing? Thunder jacket worth the $ or just a gimmick?
