**Official Post Your Dog Thread**

It’s tough because my dog LOVES other dogs so much and it’s literally all she wants is to say hi. Anytime she sees a dog she stops cold in her tracks, whines, and won’t move until the dog passes (usually I’ll stay on the other side of the street.)

We had a dog park incident too, but still every time we walk past the dog park she gets stubborn and refuses to move until I at least take her up to the fence to sniff, thankfully it’s a small dog park and there usually isn’t anyone there.

Yo my dog stops and looks at the dog park on every walk too lmao thats too funny.

My dog also goes to camp bow wow daycare so she just loves other dogs and playing

I had a chocolate lab I adopted as an adult (he was like 4). He was aggressive towards other dogs, which pissed me off because I wouldn't have adopted him had they told me as I lived in a neighborhood with a lot of other dogs. He wasn't malicious, but I could tell that he had some past trauma. Possibly abused. The video the foster home sent me showed him with 2 rottweiler's, so he was obviously submissive towards them which made him seem like a typical friendly lab.

People would literally let their dogs walk up to mine unleashed without even asking so I'd have to sort of jog away and yank my dog and tell the person he didn't get along. Had a few incidents where he nipped some other dogs which made me feel super bad. I feel like most people are well meaning wanting their dogs to meet, but it's not always as simple as they think. Dogs are unpredictable in different situations. Also looks are deceiving. You really have to pay attention to body language.

exactly! my younger pup had an incident at a dog park when he was really young and he’s never been the same. doesn’t get along with most dogs anymore. at least not right away. but walking him can be a pain because people insist on bringing their dogs up to mine even if they see me walking away from them.

it’s not that i’m trying to be an ******* it’s that i know my dog and i do t want anything happening to theirs. i can be headache.

...and don’t even get me started on people who walk their dog off leash when they’re obviously not trained :{

Six year anniversary of my babe’s Gothca Day. She’s half chow, half German Shepherd. She’ll be 7 in July. She’s a once in a lifetime pup. Still can’t believe someone had to give her up to a shelter.

Calling her a dog doesn’t really fit bcs she’s sooo much more than that. She’s our furry lil daughter.

Having the same problem with my rescue. He is scared of anything that isn't me or at home. So his natural defense amongst other dogs is to act tough when they get close. Its gonna be a tough time to get him out of his shell.

Keep 'em coming, guys! I love visiting this thread cuz it makes my day better and of course, I love dogs. I'm not capable to have a dog... yet, but I know I'll have one someday.

My regards to all your dogs

This lil ***** got out and ran away a few days ago made me chase her *** through the hood smh.

My mind was RUNNING when i thought i might not be able to get her. She was thinking it was a game

This gets me so tight

my hound was on his own for a while before the shelter I adopted him from picked him up so he’s not very trustworthy of other dogs (he has some pretty serious scars on his legs too so he prob got in his fair share of scraps)

Ppl will just walk up to us w/ their dogs and I’m just stressed out on the edge of my seat the whole time hoping **** doesn’t pop off

I usually try to keep the interaction short and stay close to him

Wifey & I have been talking about adopting another pooch. Came across this lil guy named Finn. A 3-4 yr old about 25 lbs. He’s currently undergoing heart worm treatment but we’ve put in an application. Will post if we get him. Also gotta find out if our pooch likes this lil fella...

Need advice for potty training.

So when we got our yorkie, he was doing very well with the pads. Dude would go piss and poop and i was amazed how fast he picked up on it. Until this past 2 weeks i noticed hes peeing and pooping at random spots now. He used to be consistent with the pads and i didnt change a single thing in his routine.

Anything i can do to get him back on track?
