My fuzzy son who crossed the Rainbow Bridge after 18 yrs. Miss him everyday. It's been over a year and still find his fur everywhere.

So as an update on the dog i posted about on the last page. Shes been at the house for almost a week. My current dog isnt really a big fan. Found out on the first day that the new dog is food-aggressive and ended up snapping at my dog and catching her on her snout.

So now my current dog is kinda skeptical. The new dog is also posessive of toys and wont let the other have any toys. She is an alpha for sure and my old dog doesnt test her.

So overall were not sure how its going to go as weve never dealt with a situation like this. Im hoping they warm up in a month or so. Anybody ever dealt with this?

Word me and my girl have been trying to walk them together once a day. They do well on the walks.

Its not like theyre constantly at eachothers neck, but i just dont like the new dog bullying my baby lol. Im hoping they build that trust and start to enjoy eachother. The food aggression is what scares me

We also separate their bowls by about 10 feet to address that, it works.

Always keep in mind what that dog went through before he/she came into your life, might have been rough

My boy, Omar Little. Everything I've read about miniature dachshunds has happened with us since we brought him home. He was such a pain as a puppy, now he's so great.

I've never had a dog that makes people smile all big just from seeing him. Cars slow down as they driving past while walking him.

This wasn't a pose... turned around to see him chilling like this.

Yeah....Gonna need you to post More pics of that sweetheart!!!
I had a Doxie too. He passed at age 16.
I'm sure you know but brush their teeth daily, watch for ivdd, when old CBD Oil works wonders.

Got this boy about a week ago.

Hes great and my current dog loves him. He snaps at people(my girl, the vet) when they try to redirect him or do something to him he doesnt want, so thats the only thing i need to correct.

I’ve got a beagle right now (just turned 7). Surprising my girl with an Alaskan Klee Kai (looks like a mini husky) for her birthday next week. Flying from dc to friggin Omaha to get it and then flying right back.

Breeder also has pomskies (another mini husky). They’re usually $3000ish, but she’s willing to sell it to me for $1200. I don’t need two dogs, but that’s a heck of a deal. Anyone interested? I can go pick it up and fly back with it or just give you their contact number if you’d rather go to friggin Omaha yourself lol. Attached pictures below. Born on 04/18.

This is my exact situa tion

My girls (two beagles, one terrier mix) are all rescues and get a lil spooked by apollo (treeing walker ****hound/bloodhound)

poll is the newest addition and most likely went through some **** before the shelter initially picked him up so hes very protective of his food/personal space

i dont think everybody is ever gonna be bffs but they get along well enough. walks together, car rides together etc. is the way to do it. i also have apollo in one room and the girls in another during meal times so **** doesnt pop off

Dachshunds are mad funny. My boy has two minis. One black/tan and one fawn. Whenever I slept over his crib on the couch, the fawn one would get cold in the middle of the night or whatever and climb up on the couch and "burrow" under my blanket and just go to sleep on my stomach completely under the blanket
