Gave the album a few listens this past week and it's very solid. That Mariah Carey joint has this old school vibe to it that's just beautiful and I've been screaming the hook of "Ghostwriter" in my house for like the last hour.

My only critique of this album is probably the fact that he didn't delve deeper into the subject matter he talked about on tracks like "Ghostwriter" and "Foreclosures." He always does this **** where he makes it clear that he could kick wisdom but decides to just occasionally touch the surface and then go back to money/women/etc.

It's unfortunate that he's in prime condition right now but getting a weak response.

It's not surprising really, cause besides that single he dropped 2 months ago, he practically had the same promo as Jadakiss :lol

And of course 50 is taking shots at those sales right now, even though he can barely find producers to give him good beats

Album is too lit
FINALLY got some headway through the album
I kept running it back after the first 2-3 joints
Finally made it to number 7 :lol
I may be the only one though
But the cut with nas is kinda trash
Well not trash
Just not one of my favorites
Was expecting a triple beam dreams I guess
Also seen someone say smile momma smile is :hat :hat
While I like it
It's not better than tears of joy
Which an Nter
Who I won't mention said it was better or just as good as

I think thats the issue, he was doing the redundant BMF tracks for the last 3 years and people got tired, thus lost interest in Ross projects, imagine if he would have been spitting that Real Like he dabbles in on this album. Ross has the ability to make a Classic Album but its like he refuses to because it won't sell. I think it would be in Ross best interest to go completely indy or at most a solid distribution deal, and drop an Album of Real. At this point in his career I dont think Album sales really matter because touring and merch is the real money maker. Ross is a marketing genius so I think him going Indy so he can really just drop 100% real music would be the best thing for him. With Ross's marketing you would swear he has went platinum every release lol, I dont think he has ever done more than Gold.

I think he also made a mistake releasing that mixtape so close to the album dropping. Too much free music, why pay for it. He should have released it after.

Def Jam has screwed up all the releases during the past two months, so it's not totally on him.

Truth. It doesn't help that on most accounts the mixtape is as good if not better than the album. Should have waited at least 6 months, after people got tired of the mixtape.

The benefit for the fans is that we got about 20-25 hot tracks from him in a 3 month period. I just made my own "Black Dollar/Market"  tape and bump that.

Yep, and it didn't help that other artists kept going to Lex Luger saying "hey, can you make me something that sounds like BMF?". So in a 3 year period, an entire genre was bludgeoned by variations of the same beat. Damn shame too.

Man you ain't lying that was a pathetic period & it's still goin on...I don't get it how people still want those type of beats...

My mans rozay started a epidemic. Every rapper from the south tried to bite that **** which played that **** out fast. Just like when migos blow up, the industry gangbanged their flow.

It also didn't help that not only were so many artists asking Lex Luger to remake BMF, but other producers were laughably trying to produce that as well. I do like Lex Luger, and loved the stuff he did on Rubba Band Business and RB2, but that was a brutal period of music :lol

This new rick ross album and jeezy's current album are some of the best this year.

Solid commercial hip-hop that the public has passed on.
