As for what does Alex Smith does well. He has all the tools and mechanics to be a good QB, he just doesn't have the killer instinct and poise of a starting QB. But with a team that believes in you, he'll come around.
Most definitely.
In 6 more years he's sure to come around.

Dude.  Alex Smith does nothing well.  He doesnt have all the tools.  He doesnt have mechanics to be a good QB.  Do you watch the games?  He misses wide open receivers.  He doesnt hit his targets in stride.  He checks down before he needs to.  He scrambles out of the pocket before he needs to.  He has a knack for throwing a pick in the worst possible moment.  He doesnt read the field well.  He cant hold on to the football.  He throws the ball 4 yards when we need 7.  He doesnt see blitzes until its too late.  What more needs to be said?

And for some god forsaken reason, his team DOES believe in him.  They have for 6 years.  You say he'll come around.  Care to guess when that will happen?

Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports was the first to mention that the 49ers had issues with the play-calling of offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye. Not long after Cole’s revealing article came out, the Niners fired Raye.

So maybe it’s worth paying attention when Cole writes this:

If the 49ers should pull off a miracle comeback this season, it probably won’t save coach Mike Singletary’s job. According to a team source, Singletary will need to do some extraordinary things over the final 11 games to have any hope of coming back as coach. That extraordinary thing would be something like winning all of the remaining games and even a playoff contest or two.

While York also said this weekend that he’s “absolutely

Am I alone in thinking you guys have a guaranteed victory this week?

We don't have the coaching or QB to pull off an easy win.

I believe every game will be a struggle win or lose

Yeah. With the 49ers nothing is "guaranteed". And the Raiders are playing decent right now.
