We all know Jimmy for the most part starts off games well. We are usually up in the first half with Jimmy, like we were against Ten, Sea, Ind, then almost blew the Cincy game, I'm sure there are more examples.
Trey on the other hand gets off to slow starts as evidenced in the AZ and Hou games but has shown to improve his play in the 2nd half.
Jimmy meanwhile usually struggles in the 2nd half and has been shaky at best when it comes to closing games, a 50-50 proposition with Jimmy.
Maybe Kyle is thinking "Start Jimmy, Close with Trey."

We have to establish the run game immediately. And stick to it. No need for Kyle to get pretty on 4th down plays either.
