Right. The playbook normalized unfortunately after Trey went down. Screw the designed runs, give him the regular playbook and only run the keeps in short goal line situations. Shanny is too eager to show off his new toy and it’s not helping him as a passer.

Its telling though that Kyle didnt trust Lance as a passer. He worked to Trey's strength and experience with calling plays similar to how Trey played in college, and thats calling a bunch of run plays.

Yeah a lot of him calling those plays is because he doesn’t trust that Lance fully knows how to read defenses just yet. He’s a work in progress. Unfortunately he’s calling plays that would get him hurt.

Shanahan is pussycat. Can't even man up and admit he kept putting his young QB in bad positions all game on a wet field and instead calls it a "normal" play cause only like 6 out of 32 teams in the league do it. LOL
