OFFICIAL STOCK MARKET AND ECONOMY THREAD VOL. A NEW CHAPTER

Travel companies and airlines getting hit HARD. I'm still not seeing the correlation between traveling and Brexit. If anything I'm thinking about planning a trip to England now with my greenbacks in tow.

Finish Line in the meantime flourishing with +22% :lol

Hope that's a good sign for NKE come ER

Should i just cash out? Down $60, 5 shares of FB and 4 of AAPL.
Nah fam... Sit on it

Look for good opportunities to buy more, it'll rebound

Doubled down on DUST when it was in the upper $7 range to significantly lower my average.

Lesson learned: Never bet against gold

But was it wrong, or are you just looking for ****** to give you reps for a quick jab?

buying opportunities or wait? can the markets go any lower?
You should always scale into a position in times like this. Say you want to buy 100 shares, pick up 25 now.

Usually a bottom is signaled by high volume capitulation selling, which we haven't seen yet.

Pay attention to the news coverage over the weekend, because if CNN/CNBC is reporting the end of the world, Monday morning will be a fire drill for dumb money.

The market can always go lower.

Wasnt trying to jab at you my man, but its highly irresponsible to be commenting on what folks should do with their investments when you are not well versed in the complexities of the market. Right or wrong is irrelevant, unless you have something concrete to support your statement. I mean, u dont even know his investment objectives.

Additionally i should add if you are coming in this thread asking what to do with your investment you probably shouldnt have gotten into in the first place. Know your exit strategy before you make a purchase.

No one knows, fam.

It's only been a day since the Brexit vote. Ideal game plan is to wait and see how the next few weeks go.

Regardless, I have dry powder ready to go.

Watched mad money before with the god Jim Cramer

European banks still in dissary

He thinks next week is going to be shaky and now is not the time to get in, especially with so much uncertainty

Plus Spain is having an election next week (monday or tuesday) which can make them leave the EU as well.

Can you guys imagine 2 years of this market uncertainty?

UK should really get this exit strategy done ASAP if they're really 'bout it.

I hear you. I did basic research for a minimal understanding and dove in. Taking my lumps for it and deservedly so, but I'm trying to learn from it at the same time.

You can learn without spending money. Don't let the allure of the money cause you make bad decisions. Buying stocks with basic research and minimal understanding is definitely a bad decision. One needs to develop a strategy, backtest it, and proceed with caution from there. Throwing money to the wind will not help you do this. And if you do happen to make money, and it's not a strategy that is repeatable, you'll just loose it back on the next one.

Honestly, unless you have an algorithm, the stock market is one big casino, no matter how much research anyone does.

Before I never really understood why people panicked and shorted their stocks when a large dip would occur. However, I realize my ignorance came from not thinking big! as in, I only have a couple hundred dollars in stocks and not thousands. I guess the more money the bigger these economic impacts are felt in the portfolio.

Anyways, been looking hard at INSY, and some cheaper biotech/medical marijuana stocks. Anyone mess with these? When I began investing I was looking at GWPH but didn't want to pull the trigger at 35 dollars, then one night it jumped to 90. That was a deep pain I felt my entire day. If you have any, care to share some info?
