I once left a pair of Lunarglides on my front porch after being exhausted coming back from a run. I left them to air out for a sec and completely forgot them outside. Someone actually stole them from the porch and I’m not talking good condition sneakers in the slightest. They were completely beat with extra fromage from running and working out and some yute still snatched them lmao. At that point, you can have em bro. If you need a stinky beat up shoe that bad...

Review of the Capsule Markham Live Raffle yesterday:
I arrived at 11am and was about 50-60th in line. Most folks started arriving after 11am as the line grew exponentially (300 people towards the end - it started in front of the store and wrapped around Good Catch).
The demographics of the line were well mixed. From 2 year old children, dogs and grand parents of all races. No eye candy at all though haha
Most of the folks in line were wearing Air Maxes, which I appreciated. You had your typical folk that rocked yeezys, but I can't be mad at that.
Capsule started handing out tickets around 11:55ish (because I think they were shocked at how long the line was). They said they had about 200 or so tickets so I believe some folks were turned away? They also handed out free air max pins, which I thought was nice of them. The line overall was super well tamed as well as the huddle when the draw went live (cops showed up as they saw a large mob of folks haha) - but let's be real, we're in Markham, it was honestly well run.
Staff gave you 2 tickets, you keep one half and toss the other half into a large clear zip lock bag (which started off empty by the way - everyone was checking haha). Staff picked the first number and shouted out the last 4 digits as well as writing it down on a whiteboard for everyone to see. If you won, you would show proof of the ticket and before escorting you inside, you had to pick the next winner (only 3 people in the store at a time to purchase) - you don't know if they have your size until you get inside.
Capsule had the same amount of SWs as they did for the Tinker 3s, which was 24 pairs. But the amount of people were tripled!
At the end of the day, I caught a BIG W!!! Thank God!! The shoes are A LOT nicer in person. Very well made!
- Shout out to my mom for babysitting my son last minute as our daycare lady cancelled for a personal reason last minute
- Shout out to the folks who were clueless and tossed in both portions of their tickets (3 tickets were drawn like that....)
- Shout out to my friend who I bumped in to during the raffle (He won and then drew my ticket!! - what are the chances of that?!
)
- Shout out to the significant others who lined up with their bf/husbands as there were a bunch of those winners
- Shout out to Capsule for holding down a legit raffle for the pairs they didn't back door (hahaha)

Yep just tried again and they worked except they sold out of my size in the oreo vapormax so i went a half size down (size 8 ). Hoping they don't destroy my feet cuz I really want that colorway... if not I did order a pear of the grey vapormax with the red swoosh in a 8.5 so at least I have some sort of consolation prize.
Mind you these are all purchased in preparation of the L I'm about to take on those OW Vapormaxes. If I somehow secure a pair of those OW's tho.... these sport chek pairs are def getting returned 100% lollll

two highlights from the markham raffle (from a non winner) the grampa and grams crew that scored two pair. and the one raffle ticket that was drawn that had both tickets still stuck to the entry (bruhhhhhhhhhh!)

I bought something for $400 on END and was charged $61 for duties by FedEx. These OW's are $365 shipped so expect just about the same if any of us get lucky.

FYI, for anyone who's looking for a pair of the SW 1/97 on the aftermarket. The shoes fit weird for the most part. They're really long for some reason. The forefoot area is similar to a 97 (if you have wide feet) but the length for some reason feels long. I normally wear a size 9.5 in AM97s and AM1s but needed to go a half size down for these.

The Nike x HQ trivia contest they had yesterday had nearly 2 million people on it. The shoes they gave away were trash (Air Max 270 white photo blue with HQ branding) but then again they also gave away $100,000 (which ended up being split by 4 people). Great piece of marketing by Nike, a whole bunch of non-sneakerheads now know about Air Max Day.

trust me, they backdoored half of their stock to essentials....i won't say which store to protect him but a friend works at one of the stores involved and confirmed this to me last week. i didn't bother to enter for that reason.
