**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

Swaggg I'll take the point...nervy moments at the end though....team battled back from the "controversy" well

:x @ all the corners...had me sweating

helluva result here tonight. central defense outside the first 15 min and a couple gaffes was impressive imo

Reading the tweets the Mexican fans are hurling projectiles at the press box and trying to get them to the field :rollin

Ideal result on the road.

We'll take it.

Gonzo was a beast at the back.

MOTM for sure straight boss, Besler was solid as well, and credit to Beas for gutting it out, my dude was getting nicked up every time he got on the ball :lol

I really liked what I saw from Guzan too...he's playing insane for Villa and honestly has been in better form than Timmy most of this season

I'm content with the result. Solid 90 minutes of defense played :lol

Guzan :hat

Omar+Besler!!! :hat

Clint was completely locked up. Very little offensive effort but whatev

^agreed...poor performance

90 minutes of defense is not an ideal way to win games :lol

I feel sorry for Jozy. Poor dude gets no kind of service and they always have him playing up top by his damn self. Everything
is a long ball and they just expect him to hold the ball and then have Dempsey or Gomez make runs off of that. So not attractive
soccer IMO.

Can somebody tell me why nobody on the US national team can ever like show to the ball(make themselves available) so that they can continue to hold on to
possession instead of somebody just booting the ball 50 yards down the field. I played high school soccer and a little bit in
college and that's like one of the simplest things to do but yet none of them do it.

Hey at least we got a point in Azteca :smokin, I kinda like Biesler in the back.

Because our midfield is just atrocious.

Bradley is decent, but he's more of a holding/defensive mid so creating, dictating play, creating chances, etc just isn't really his game.

We've got decent forwards with Clint and Jozy, but absolutely nobody capable of holding possession, getting forward, and controlling the pace of the game from the midfield.

Sad part is people celebrating this like a win. Mexico isn't even that good. There's a reason they have no wins so far.

Oh and the Johnson for Altidore sub was so pointless.:{

ah well...
