**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

is panama even on USA's level? Lets be real right now... USA has been playing splendidly for the past 8 games or so but idk about panama, are they good lol?

I think they're the only team that has a pretty much A team, like the same one they use in WC qualifiers...so they have a fairly solid squad. US should beat them comfortably though with how we're rolling I'm gonna say 3-1

Anyone going on Sunday?

I'm thinking about buying tickets!

Ill be honest, I was quite distraught when Mexico lost to Panama. For one, I'm Mexican, and secondly....having US play Mexico at Soldier Field for the cup would've been beyond epic. Like seriously, it would've been a madhouse.

After a few days though, I'm pretty freakin jacked about tomorrow. My crew and I are going HAM on the USA gear. We're tailgating to the max, and putting those Panamaniacs in their place !!!

U S A !!!!!!!!!!!

^My man :hat :hat

Idk if USA vs Mexico in Chicago would have beat how reckless the fans were at the Rose Bowl 2 years ago tho :lol

Sucks to see Stu go down, but hopefully it's nothing serious.  If anything, Stu going down should light a fire for us...

Unsung hero of the gold cup is Nick Rimando. I'm amazed that all the guys that needed to step up the last couple of months like Landon, Jozy Brek, EJ, & Wondo stepped up. Liked seeing the likes of Corona out there too. Great win for the USNT. Gotta say though, playing countries outside of CONCACAF will be completely different. Looking forward to seeing what this group can do.

Gutted for Stu. I would have given up long ago, but dude is far more determined than I.

Glad we got the cup back. Halfway to Confed Cup 2017. Some good performances yesterday and through the tournament. Feel better about our depth and options going in to 2014.

After Brooks last week, Klinsmann has gotten Aron Johannsson to pick the USMNT over Iceland. He's confirmed he's filing a switch with FIFA. Expect him to be called for team with Bosnia in a few weeks, even if he's not eligible to play.

The game was awesome. Day started cloudy and rainy but morphed into a beautiful , sunny day. Awesome to see the squad win.

I have pics......

Getting Kevin Bacon, er, Aaron Johannson is a great get by USSF. :smokin Klinsy stays winning, he can play on the wing or as a lead striker, him and Jozy played well briefly for AZ together. Suddenly our depth is looking great Mixx, Corona played well in the Gold Cup to add to our midfield stable and with Jozy, EJ, Donovan, Dempsey, Boyd, Aaron, Herc, and even Wondo our depth looks good up front as well...the Bosnia friendly should be fun add Brooks to the back and we're looking even better for Brazil and even beyond. Johannsen ideally would take one of Deuce or Landon's spots once the WC is over full time and they likely end their international careers soon afterwards (1-2 yrs). Two legends

Are we close to being 2 deep at each position yet?? 8o lord knows we need help at the outside backs :lol

Yeah that's the one issue :lol Beas is serviceable I guess but Fabian can play LB or LW, he said he likes playing Wing more though and Dolo (I dunno if he's still open to intl play?) can play RB but so can Timmy Chandler. There's also another German American on Hoffenheim in the Bundeliga who is gonna be their starter at LB at 18-19 yrs old this season and its likely we can get him to commit eventually :lol oh I forgot about Shawn Parker when I mentioned the forwards too, he's very good and could end up w/ us. The outside backs are by far our most glaring weakness though right now, we have a few guys out of position back there but most other places its looking good for us for the next few cycles...we've got more German Americans coming thru too
