Damn good fighter though.

Victor Ortiz handled himself very well in the interview after the loss. I was impressed.
You'd handle yourself well if you just made 2mil off of 12mins

you're right.

Second thought, I would probably be acting like a damn fool.

floyd needs manny more then manny needs floyd. floyd has no wins against big name fighters unless you add "a old" in front of their name. he picks and chooses so he can stay undefeated! ortiz had him scared last night and manny would destroy him.......... and i dont even like manny

Floyd was just classless for that. he took advantage of the moment. I'm pretty sure he was still mad about the headbutt but at least ortiz did it during the fight not while the fight was not even going on.

Just when you want to respect floyd and give the man props he does something like this and then the post fight interview :/
You weren't paying attention sir.
The ref called time in, they touched gloves, Ortiz wanted yet ANOTHER public display of affection, then ANOTHER, and got his jaw rocked.

The ref even says that he called time in and that there was no wrongdoing.

Even with fighters touch gloves, they always have their hands up. WATCH!

And clearly some of you all don't watch boxing. 2-2 after the fourth?

Money put on a clinic. He dominated every aspect of this fight. Ortiz was getting FRUSTRATED that's why he did the headbutt! All those punches thrown on the ropes hit either AIR or GLOVES. Money was holding him with that right straight and counters all night long. 2-2?

In other news, here's a great article about how Mayweather makes his money. On top of being an excellent boxer, he's a very savvy business man who has totally changed how fighters' can make money.

LAS VEGAS — On Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather Jr. will make tens of millions of dollars for an hour’s worth of work, if that. He will be paid for what happens inside the ring and outside it, paid far more than any other boxer fighting today, for far more than just his performance in a welterweight title fight against Victor Ortiz.

In his previous four fights, Floyd Mayweather Jr. earned $115 million.

On fight nights, if it were not for the din of the crowd and the sounds of fists striking chins, Mayweather could hear the ringing of cash registers. He earns a percentage of every ticket purchased, every pretzel consumed, every poster sold. He will earn from countries that paid for broadcasting rights and the theaters where the fight is shown.

Mayweather, regarded as one of the best boxers in history, fights under a highly unusual financial structure, exchanging upfront risk for back-end profit while retaining total control. He is even responsible for paying his opponent, in this case a business expense of at least $2 million.

This thread is evidence to support that. This is about Mayweather's fight and now dudes are turning this into a Pac slurp fest.

Money is right, he doesn't need Pac, Pac needs him.
mayweather is more famous/richer than pacquiao.  cool story bro.  this is known.  but so what?  how is this important/relevant or an achievement to anything unless you ask the specific question "who is more famous, floyd or pac?"
pacquiao did not get into boxing so he can be better than mayweather.  he himself made his own name regardless of how he made it, just like floyd did.  kobe didnt work hard to be above mj.

as a reporter how is it wrong to ask will you fight the next best guy?  in reality both dont need each other that much and yes floyd is a bigger name, but i quoted the dude who said "Floyd taking yall Pacquiao fans to CHUUUUURCH!".  i was just asking how.  saying floyd doesnt need to fight pac doesnt tell me how he brought pac fans to church.  it only showed confidence and ego.  what was there b=to be right or wrong about, that was supposed to bring to church?

nothing about it on the post presser but both of them are slow.  people asking questions and them answering totally different things or just plain, generic mumbo jumbo with no substance.
