stop with this kevin love talk. we're not gonna get him, we don't need him. he's gonna be a andrew bogut with more range at best

I doubt Love will be there when we're up, but even if he is, I DO NOT want him here.

The only problem I have with Harrington is that he is getting paid waaaay too much if he isn't a starter. He is a good bench player, but his contract isnot that of a bench player.

You guys can't just throw Al Harrington + filler for *insert NBA player here*
He's not that good, nobody wants him... but then again Kwame Brown wasn't very good.

Naw j/p, Kwame had 8 million expiring, what's Harrington's contract like?

JEFF LENCHINER | InsideHoops.com

The deal was made more for the sake of making a change than actually attempting to accomplish something.
At least the Warriors got out of some bad contracts, those of Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy, the two prime Warriors to not fit into Don Nelson'soffense. Murphy has also been battling injury this season.

I say the Warriors won this trade. Because they got the best individual player involved in the deal, AlHarrington. And, they cleared over $30 million in future contract money owed. ... This trade could help both teams, but I give the edge to GoldenState. And in general, both of these teams are stuck in the middle of the pack and have many more moves to make if they want to go deep into the playoffs andeven think of competing for a championship.

It would be so ideal to trade Harrington (+ few extras not Baron, Monta, Andris, Wright) and get Sheed somehow someway. :hat
i don't think anyone's denying it's not happening, though :lol.

they got the best individual player involved in the deal, Al Harrington.

back then few thought Jackson would end up being the more valuable of the two

, me included.

I thought Sarunas would have a chance...We found the answer to that theory once he arrived in Oakland. I was thinking...I hope Marco Bellinelli doesn'tbecome the next Jiri Welsch.

al harrington is not that bad (no japanair21), hes just not consistent. i can see him gettin 20 ppg but his confidence started dwindling towards the end of theseason.

I think it has to do with his role on the team. He isn't and has never been seen as a primary scorer. Nellie wanted him to grab boards and use his lengthto his advantage, not score. If he was asked to score more, I think he would.

I can slightly agree-it seems as if Nellie has him regulated to being a 3 point specialist, or that's what it seems at times, when that's not eventhe strongest part of his game. he can definitely post people up, but a lot of times when he did that last season he wasn't very successful; like vietstasaid it's about his consistency.

Seeing him on the Pacers and him on the Warriors are really two different people, he looked to score on the Pacers, I mean he was really the second scorerbeing JO.

Al is definitely inconsistent, I remember when he dropped 37 in one of the first six games. That had me pumped for him and my fantasy team. Then he gave outmid-season...

He's not attractive in the means that he's not athletic, but when you look at Duncan, do you think athletic, fast player? What about Steve Nash? He has AVERAGE speed and is not that athletic, nimble, but not athletic. If I were a Warriors fan (or if the Mavericks had the 14th pick), I wouldn't mind getting Love. I honestly don't think he'll slip that far down though. He has drawn interest all year, and for him to slip to 14, it's possibly, but not likely.

Just stop talking.

Trop Murphy fit because the Warriors weren't running up and down the floor.

Don't you dare compare Kevin Love to Duncan ... And Steve Nash is average athletically? He's not young but he's a freak athlete.

you obviously don't get what I was pointing out. I'm not saying that Troy Murphy fit in this Warriors system, but he did fit into the Warriors game. And back then they STILL didn't play miraculous defense.

Is Kevin Love and Duncan both NOT terribly athletic and both NOT very fast? I was not comparing their game, but their physique.

Steve Nash's athletic ability isn't on par with most of the athletic players in the League.

And what exactly do you have to DO to fit into the Warriors system? Kevin Love could be a trailer and make shots, he could REBOUND which is most important to what's needed. He's not Millsap/Maxiell, but I'm just he could shed some pounds if that's what was asked of him. He could be a sixth man if anything. Unless you find a real gem, it doesn't look like you'll find a rookie who will get starting minutes as a rook, ESPECIALLY with Nellie.
I'm sorry, but I'm kinda lost here. I'm only replying to this because I posted before 715did but we basically said the same thing but you quoted him like he misinterpreted you. That must mean that I misinterpreted you then too

. Duncandoesn't play in a system where they try to run run run. Yeah they're capable of running on occasion, and when they run it's with the backcourt ofParker and Ginobili... not with Duncan. If Love is drafted by the Warriors, he'll be forced to play in a system where we always try to run. Is his game afit for this style of play or are we going to make him fit this style of play?

About Nash, I he's not "Barbosa" quick, but he's not "Big Z" slow either. He's got average speed. How is Nash's speedfrom a point guard position relate to Love's speed from the power forward position?

I still don't see how you are comparing Troy Murphy's physique with Duncan's physique. What does physique have to do with how they fit on ateam? It's about their abilities and how they mesh with a team is what's important. When I look at Love's abilities and try to think of howit'll mesh with the Warriors' style of play, I honestly don't see it working no matter how much you point out that he can rebound and shoot frommidrange, I still don't think he'll mesh. Look at Chris Webber last year. He was asked to do what Love will be asked to do here. That is to reboundsome and knock down the open jumper on a consistent basis. How'd that work out?
