Dear GSWHOOPS,

As a Rockets fan, can you guys please stop winning. We're trying to get into the playoffs here, and you're currently in our way. 17 wins out of thelast 20. Current 8 game winning streak, and we're still on the outside looking in. Get the hell out of our way. Thanks.

Sincerely yours,

franchise3

Good point.

I recind my letter.

Good luck GSW!

I would just like to give Buike major props for coming out tonight and knocking down shots.

Ever since that 5 day lay-off, his minutes have been cut and a young player can easily lose confidence.

'Buike has ice in his veins, man. I've always thought this guy would be a good player since his call-up. He can really get it going if given theminutes..

'Buike came up huge because I shook his hand yesterday at his autograph signing and told him he should get more burn instead of Pietrus. Ok, Ididn't mention Pietrus, but yeah it's good to finally see him get some PT again.

Wow it's almost like every game is a playoff game right now...

glad the team can get some rest and gear up for the 2nd half of the season.

Did anyone see this post on GSOM? I don't know if I believe it but it would be pretty funny if it's true.
So you were all probably wondering why Webber wasn't dressed to play today (on second thought, you had probably forgotten he still plays for us...). It wasn't Nellie's call, that's for sure. No, Nellie loves the CWebb experiment too much to give up on it already. What happened, rather, was that Webber was busy getting some lovin' back in his hotel room and showed up late. That's right! Some background...

My friend works as a valet at the Claremont hotel, which for those of you that don't know is the only real 5-star hotel this side of the city. It's up in the hills at the Oakland/Berkeley border, has a view of the bay, and is pretty much home to anyone famous making it through the East Bay (and often through SF, for that matter). My buddy has parked cars for JRich, Chris Rock, Clint Eastwood, Gandolfini... $+%+, even the president of Vietnam came through once. Anyway, the next day after the CWebb trade went public, my friend tells me that he parked CWebb's car, and that he just checked in to the nicest master suite for 3 months (rest of the season).

Fast forward 5 days, past the so called "training camp", and the not-so-impressive debut against the Bulls. Never mind the loss, Webber comes back later that night with 3 girls, and racks up a $1500 tab in room-service and drinks. Alright, fine, I guess an NBA player gets to enjoy luxury even when he has a %%!!+% night on the court. Fair game. But hear this one out. So my friend calls me up today at 5:30, and tells me that CWebb pulled in a couple hours earlier with this young girl, and about 5 shopping bags full of clothes. Then he tells me that CWebb just came rushing out of the front door of the hotel asking for his car, his shirt undone, and sweating like Nellie was about to give him an $++-whooping. That's right. CWebb left for the game at 5:25.

Now I hate to pry into a man's personal life, and dude has every right to go spend money on a girl and then take her to his luxury suite and rail her (she was white by the way... that's right, I asked), but what's up with leaving for the game 35 minutes before tip-off? For a team that just signed you? For a coach that is trying to make you look good by starting you? I really think CWebb has no interest in playing, let alone winning. If these anecdotes tell me anything, it's that he likes to spend his cash, likes the idea of getting another 1/2 million to live it up a little, and really has no respect for the kind of favor Nellie has done him. $+%+, his attitude even makes me think that perhaps he sees himself as the big dawg on the team or something. $50 Nellie find out about his hijinks soon and tells him to not bother getting dressed.

This reply got me.

Go to see C-Web still has a scorers mentality.....he just needs to do more of it on the court!

Edit - Why didn't webber just drive to the game? He was what, probably with the chick shopping in SF? Just take her to the game and let the W's stafftake care of her.

pics of the chicks at least?

As good as that story may sound with him pulling the young females. This man is out of shape. Speaking of his Webber, I just ate dinner at his restaurant formy brother's birthday. Nicely done.

Chris Webber was inactive for the Warriors after recording eight points and 10 rebounds in his first three games back with the team. Nelson said he would have played Webber if O'Neal had played but didn't think Webber could handle the fast pace of this game.

I guess we all know now that Chris Webber will be in his GQ suit everytime they play fast teams like Phoenix, Memphis or Toronto.

  • KELENNA AZUBUIKE, G, 8.9 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, 39.3 3-point field-goal percentage: Started off hot in place of suspended Stephen Jackson but has cooled off since then. May see more time if Mickael Pietrus is dealt. Grade: B-

  • MATT BARNES, F, 8.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.7 assists per game: Understandably grief-stricken by his mother's rapidly declining health and death in late November, was a shadow of his 2006-07 self for the first two months of the season. Has been rounding into shape in recent weeks. Grade: C+
  • MARCO BELINELLI, G, 2.4 ppg, 31.1 field-goal percentage: The first of many such grades on this form, since the youngsters have not gotten much run under coach Don Nelson this season. Still has the crowd pulling for him, so that's something, at least. Grade: Incomplete
  • ANDRIS BIEDRINS, F/C, 10.2 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 62.1 FG%: Solid work but no big leap forward. And what had been possibly the best hands in the league have been proven fallible on many more occasions this season. Grade: B
  • AUSTIN CROSHERE, F, 3.8 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 37.1 3FG%: In and out of class too often with back pain to make a large impact. On the other hand, his absences opened up a spot for Chris Webber to make a triumphant return. Grade: C
  • BARON DAVIS, G, 21.7 ppg, 8.1 apg, 2.5 steals per game: After years of injury problems, has played every game, averaging 39.4 minutes. Can't ask for more than that. Grade: A
  • MONTA ELLIS, G, 18.7 ppg, 4.5

rpg, 53.2 FG%: To steal a line from Nelson, can the Most Improved Player win that award two years running? Grade: A
  • AL HARRINGTON, F, 14.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 39.6 3FG%: Would prefer to be a full-time starter in his 10th NBA season but is trying to roll with the changing tides of a Nelson-coached team. Grade: B-
  • STEPHEN JACKSON, G/F, 20.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 4.2 apg: The only blemish has been the seven-game suspension for prior bad acts. Otherwise, Jackson has kept his head down and put together the best season of his NBA career. Grade: A-
  • PATRICK O'BRYANT, C, 1.6 ppg, 1.3 rpg: Fate was sealed by disastrous (if difficult) stint against the Lakers on Dec. 9; Los Angeles outscored the Warriors 8-0 in his 75 seconds on the floor. Grade: Incomplete
  • KOSTA PEROVIC, C, 4.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg, one game played: That was a nice night in Milwaukee. Grade: Incomplete
  • MICKAEL PIETRUS, G/F, 5.6 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.9 fouls per game: Was unhappy to return, and it's showed. Calling publicly for a trade may backfire in the end. Grade: C-
  • C.J. WATSON, G, 4.7 ppg, 1.6 apg: Although from his perspective, it's an A all the way; any grade in the NBA is better than toiling in the D-League. Grade: C
  • CHRIS WEBBER, F/C, 2.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg: Is further away from being in Warriors' shape than some may have realized, but this is a move made for the playoffs, so no grade for him will matter until April, May and June. Grade: Incomplete

  • BRANDAN WRIGHT, F, 3.1 ppg, 2.2 rpg: Third on the team in rebounds per minute (15.1 per 48 minutes) behind only Perovic and Biedrins, but too skinny and raw to earn significant time from Nelson. Grade: Incomplete
  • DON NELSON, coach: Can't argue with the policy of playing every game like it's the last, given how tough the Western Conference has been this season. But if his big-minute players start to break under the strain, he'll have to pull another rabbit out of the hat, and quickly. Grade: B+
