lebron has broken like 20 FT records this year...especially in the playoffs
no one can win against the refs
it will be a repeat of heat vs dallas
My sentiments exactly. Plus LeBron is such a talent, his team is dangerous no matter how weak his supporting cast may be.
I like our chances against Orlando. Dwight Howard is a monster defensively but the Magic have no other even good low post players. Kobe, Gasol and LO and Arizashould be able to work around him because this Laker team has the best interior passing in the league.
Defensively, I like the Laker's chances in holding down Lewis or Turkoglu, whom ever Ariza guards will not be nearly as efficient as they have been againstthe Cavs. Also, Alston is not as difficult of a match up as was Jameer Nelson, who was a big reason why the Magic won the season series. When it comes toDwight Howard, that could be problem but at least we have Bynum who will give us a good 10 minutes and his 6 fouls.
The Magic are still scary though, Alston could cause lots of problems because he is point guard, he is playing the Lakers and all point guards seem to give ustrouble. Howard is a beast who could put LO and Pau in foul trouble and scare some of the role players away from making the hard cuts to the paint. Who exactlywill guard Lewis out around the three point line?
A Lakers-Magic series could likely turn on whose forwards play the best. Lewis and Turkoglu have been great, LO and Ariza are playing great basketball, whichpair of forwards will keep playing at the top of their game for the most games?

Nuggets unable to prove they're better
Despite a 119-92 loss, Kenyon Martin says he still thinks that Denver is better than the Lakers.
By Broderick Turner

Reporting from Denver -- Kenyon Martin remained adamant, even after the Lakers defeated his Denver Nuggets convincingly in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals at his home arena.
Martin wasn't bitter, just strong in his belief, which showed how far the Nuggets still have to go.
The Lakers beat the Nuggets, 119-92, Friday night at the Pepsi Center to win the best-of-seven series 4-2 and to advance to the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year.
How good are the Lakers?
"I think we're better than them, actually, to be honest," said Martin, still stubborn. "But we didn't prove that. That's obvious, cause they're moving on and we're not. But I think we have a better team than they do, no doubt about it."
"Some people are going to say maybe the experience of them getting to the Finals last year was a deciding factor. But I'm proud of these guys in this locker room. And I think as a whole, our team is better than their team."

It's pretty much tradition on NT to make an offseason or season appreciation thread for your team once they get eliminated from the playoffs so that you can discuss what changes need to made for next year as well as look back on the high/low points of the past year. [longest sentence evarr]
With the amount of Nug sigs I saw just 2 years ago, I'm a little surprised no one has stepped up to the plate.

if kobe drove as much as lebron (or just about 30%) more, he'd get 12-13 fts EVERY game. lebron goes into the paint like EVERY otherpossession. do you even watch him play or just look at his ft attempts? the rate he's going into the paint is unheard of in the history of the NBA.Originally Posted by knightngale
