That sounds like a good plan? Anybody know the trade in value of an XBOX 360 Elite unit?

I browsed some other forums and it's somewhere between $100-150

That's not even guaranteed.

  Thought I was cool after I got the RROD with my other unit, so scooped up the Elite as a replacement (Best Buy protection Plan

).  I've had the Elite for awhile though, '07 or '08 I think, I was bummed out though.

Don't want to drop major dough, but I'm going to be itching to play GoW3

I only did this once so I could sell the system to Gamestop. I have not had any problems with my Elite since I bought it.

Did you look online to see what the rings are indicating? When there's a certain pattern, it shows what system error there is.

Some of them can be fixed, when mine red ringed I unplugged it then plugged it back in and it worked.

price fluctuates...it was like 180ish for the elite bundle just like 2 months ago

i'm just messing around guy's, i know that problems only with the older units,

the newer ones and the slims are way more reliable. that r2d2 slim looks awesome by the way,

if i were to get a 360 i would get that one, even though the star wars kinect game doesn't look too great
