Just to clarify, I have no interest in the book series/film adaptation. Have no plans on reading the series/seeing the film

Made the post to make a comment that Hunnam isn't getting a fair shot at what is potentially a huge role for him. Fans of the series can't envision him as the main character, and they are allowed to have their opinion, but do they not realize what Hollywood can do via makeup and hair dye. They offed him before anything else was green lit about the project.

Just watched The Way Way Back.. really think it's one of my favorite movies of the year so far. Sam Rockwell was great, most of the kids were spot on too. Nice coming of age movie. Was surprised to see Jim Rash produced it.. always see him as the weird Dean from Community

On Homeland Season 2... just finished Episode 3.
I saw the first couple episodes weren't reviewed that well for the current season. Someone tell me I have something to look forward to.

I just found out about The Counseler. Man that looks awesome. I hope it doesn't disappoint.
I went and saw Machete Kills. Man I eat that **** up like its candy.
I know it's not for everyone, but it caters to every element that I look for as a genre fan. Cameos, cheese, slapstick dialogue, and smiling throughout.
I thought it was a joke that they had Carlos Estevez in the film, because I thought that was Emilio, but it was obviously Charlie Sheen. Then I did some research post-viewing and realized that Martin Sheen isn't Martin Sheens real name, and that Charlie Sheen and Emelio Estevez are brothers. All makes sense now.
But back to the movie, it was just a fun two hours. I liked the trailer in the beginning,
I really hope we do get Machete Kills Again, but I kind of doubt it because of the poor box office cash in this is likely to get.
The entire cast was fun, and I was happy to see Tom Savini again. Lots of familiar faces.

If you're not into suspending your disbelief, go look for another movie. You got Mel Gibson being a power-hungry, space-driven, future-seeing maniac. You got El Cameleon (Cuba, Gaga, and Antonio Banderas? ). And then you got Machete going around, attaching cable to a running helicopter blade, spinning with the helicopter blade chopping heads off left and right?
There were so many things that just made me smile. As a genre-geek, I was very happy. Not as happy as when I saw Machete, but still pretty damn happy.

I don't really argue if someone tries and can't get into Wes Anderson... he's definitely not for everyone.

Great to see Owen Wilson in this. He matches Wes' style nicely in these roles.
Jeff Goldblum is perfect for Wes movies, should've been in more.

Owen been in all of them except Moonrise. He even co-wrote the first three.
I feel like he kind of owes his career to Wes. Bottle Rocket was his first acting role, too. Ben Stiller loved it, and then that relationship took off and he started getting roles through him. He did a great job of kind of circumstantially networking early on. It's not like he went to a prestigious film/performing arts school, either (English major at Texas).
Hell, Bottle Rocket was Luke Wilson's first movie, too.
