I loved it like you, and for a lot of the same reasons

But when you say it was a cheap route, I would say it was almost a too obvious route and they took it, but I do think it’s interesting however where they want to take it now that they did it
 
Rock/Efron Baywatch was a straight up cinematic gem. Had me filled with a sense of wonder throughout. I laughed, I cried, I was inspired. So much movie magic. I can’t take it. Every so often I reminisce about that film and it brings a massive smile to my face

Smile 2s biggest issue for me was the rules of the monster seemed ill defined. When huge chunks of the movie were hallucinations or not real, it made it hard to care and follow.
 
When her friend was driving and not there, I was concerned for other drivers that were just trying to get home from work
