Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Me and my boy always laugh at how long Scorcese films are. (Gangs of NY, Aviator, Casino and etc...)

Casino and Goodfellas are in my top 5 of all time.

Can't wait to see Wolf of Wall Street. Only complaint is Jonah Hill being in this movie :x

Did a lot of c attaching up

Watched the whole season of hello laidies. I enjoyed it. The lead doesn't have to many redeeming qualities but that's pretty much the same as the office and extras which I also liked

Boardwalk empire season is much better

I feel sick. Last one that affected me like this was Aaliyah.

People who's work I looked forward too, now they're gone like that. :{

I'm admittedly not the hugest F&F guy, but it was never because of Paul Walker. From that, to Running Scared, to lesser known films like The Skulls or Joy Ride, he was a good actor.

I wonder where Wan goes with F&F 7. I can't believe the film comes out on time now, since he's such a huge part of the franchise and there will undoubtedly have to be script re-writes, re-shoots, among other things.

All the best wishes to his family though. RIP.

I know exactly what you mean. For me it was when Chris Farley passed. Felt like a friend had died. Always the hardest when someone goes way before their time.

You ever seen Logan's Run or Soylent Green before, JA? Always been on my list.

I posted about Logan's Run awhile back. Refn and Gosling were suppose to team up again for a remake. Sounds like it's dead, though.

^Probably gonna make his death apart of the movie.

When I just heard this I laughed cuz I obviously thought it was a bad joke. Then I seen some more traffic about it.

I'm honestly upset about this.

Grew up with this dude due to always rewatching F&F.

40, so young. :(

Damn man.

Pretty familiar with Soylent, seen it a few times. Logan's Run I'm not as familiar with, don't think I've ever watched it in full. Mostly got that set for Soylent Green though.

Just got finish watching Finding Neverland and such a great movie. Crazy how J. M. Barrie came up with such an amazing story from that family.Barri

Can't say I was a huge fan of his movies, but Paul Walker seemed like a good guy. RIP to the man.

Not sure if Barnes & Noble still has the deal going on, but they had criterion movies half off back on Friday. I only picked up Seven Samurai though.

Same here. He always had charismatic performances in the FF franchise and I also liked him in Running Scared. Seems like he was also very involved in philanthropic endeavors which I always think is great of any celebrity. RIP.

Illmatic, good to have you back man.

And yeah, I'm still stunned with the news about PW. Really surreal, especially about someone I don't even know, yet have sort of grown up with.

Last week I happened to catch Hunger Games, I'll write it up at some point, but not sure when.

And ironically, Fast 6 comes out next month and I have no idea how I feel about that right now. :{

I know there's been quite a bit of buzz about Catching Fire, so I hope to catch it before the end of the week. I also watch to catch Dallas Buyers Club and Oldboy this week too... Don't know if I'll have time considering it's the holidays and I need to do my Christmas shopping.

I know there's a whole thread dedicated to The Walking Dead, but man, I love the show. I didn't like the episode as much as everyone else did, but I loved the acting. I love how well Lincoln portrays Grimes. He always triggers an emotional response for me. Only three times in the show they have brought me to literal tears.

Once, when Morgan is conflicted whether to kill his wife or not.
Again when Rick is reunited with his family.
And last night when we
reunite Rick and Carl, only to see that Judith (Most likely) has met her end.

February can't come fast enough.

Thanks. I was actually looking in the sports forum for this thread for the longest time after I got reinstated. :lol

I just re-watched The Hunger Games on Netflix because I may see Catching Fire tomorrow. I actually found it better this time around. I guess I was clouded the first time I saw it, thinking it was just a Battle Royale rip-off. I'm actually hyped to see how the story moves forward.

With so many movies coming out this month, I hope to at least catch The Wolf of Wall Street, Saving Mr. Banks and Nebraska. Probably going to try seeing Blue is the Warmest Color again before it gets pulled from the theater as well.

Got a 13 hour flight in a couple weeks so loading up on some TV and movies.

Got Prisoners, Captain Phillips, season 3 of Homeland, Two Guns, and Tron.

Might need some more stuff for the flight back though ...

Really enjoyed Hunger Games Catching Fire. I thought it would be long at 2.5 hours, hell no. Thing FLEW by imo.

I'm intrigued by what happened with Capote tho, I did not see that comin.

Woody was solid, Lawrence was tremendous with her mannerisms, like what they pulled with Lenny right in front of her face, or stopping the lashings, the old guy that held up his fingers, her reactions were really, really on point.

The "action" or games themselves were a bit less than I remember the first set of games, but I could be mistaken. Either way, I liked the clock idea with the fog, waves, blood, etc. Interesting stuff.

Sutherland is PERFECT for that role. Douche bag. :lol :lol Right down to his granddaughter loving Katniss.

The whole two boys, love triangle thing sucks tho. Same as Twilight. Why these broads always fighting over two boys? When we gonna get a boy fighting over two women and just picking both? :lol :hat But still, the playin both sides with the boys was the weakest part of the story to me. Hope they let that **** go in the next film. I'm sure the books are a better read than these are movies, but I do like what they've done so far, and where they are heading. The uprising stuff is kind of cool. Hope that's where the story goes.
