if anyone is looking for a funny show to watch with a great story i recommend "bored to death"
its on HBO on demand and you could prolly find em online.
i was looking for something to watch after i saw 8 seasons of curb your enthusiasm in a month, this was the perfect show.
its only 3 seasons so far, i've watched almost all three in 3 nights

ted danson is big time magazine exec who is also a big time stoner, jason schwartzman is a struggling writer and part time unlicensed detective, zach galifiniakis is a comic book artist.
very underrated show.

The World's End was greater the 2nd time around and I gotta say it has better fight scenes and choreography than most action movies 
So basically he's like Hitler to the 8th power for all humans and even some mutants if they're too weak to survive. Mainly fights the X-Men with his 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and occasionally his Dark Riders. Fought the Eternals once even though they're suppose to be on the same side.
The Celestials (who mucked around with the early human race with experiments millions of years ago which caused mutants and allowed for other special potential) gave En Sabah Nur, a mutant, the job of guiding evolution on Earth to reach it's full potential or dominance on the planet after he found an old celestial ship. He used their armor to become virtually immortal and took on the name Apocalypse. This was around the time of ancient Egypt, after he defeated Kang the Conqueror posing an Egyptian pharaoh. Apocalypse was an orphan and a slave and fought to survive. He adopted the ideology of survival of the fittest, so to speak, for everybody on the planet with a focus on shepherding the worthy mutants to the top.

So I saw Furnace earlier tonight. I've got to be honest, I was letdown.
Not to say I expected more "action", but I would have liked to have seen Bale take out a few more of Woody's crew. I love Bale as an actor, and thought he was great in his role, but I think I enjoyed Woody and Casey's performances better in this one.
And maybe I'm being naive to the Russel character, but I'm surprised he didn't snap and off Woody when he had the perfect shot when he ran out of the bar. I'm guessing he found more satisfaction toying with him?

It's absolutely a slow-burn, and a character-driven film. Films like that have never bothered me though. I can definitely see where you're coming from with that, and I've heard some similar complaints. And yeah, Casey and Woody are both superb as well. I stated before, not a single bad performance in that damn film. Dafoe, Zoe, Shepard, Whitaker, all damn good.
As for your issue about the ending...
I caught Catching Fire at a late showing tonight. I'll just chime in with a few thoughts, but I did enjoy it better than the first.
I think I didn't give the first film a fair shake, mostly because I was expecting something and didn't quite get it.
I struggled with a lot of the names in the beginning, because I honestly only remembered Katniss by name. When she goes looking for Woody Harrelson's character, I was like, "Is she really going to continue saying 'Hey *****!' until someone answers her?". And although I've gotten over most of the silly names, Peeta still annoys the hell out of me whenever I hear it.
The one big gripe I had with the first film still was pretty heavy in this film. The garishness of the rich. It just bugs me. I understand the financial separation is supposed to be vast and overstated, but just the flamboyant costumes and over-abundance of make-up, it's just too much for me. Despite this, I still found the acting of the rich and famous to be fun and entertaining, just hated their costumes. Tucci, Banks, and Lenny were all great.
But I did feel like they triggered a stronger emotional response during this film. There seemed to be a lot more urgency here than in the first. The rise of the poor was portrayed very well here. That, and I enjoyed the triangle between Peeta, Katniss, and Hemsworth brother #3.
They probably got me for the third one, whenever it comes out. I'd like to see where it goes.

Yeah I absolutely believe that he wanted to enjoy his destruction of DeGroat. He didn't want to beat him to shreds, he wanted to slowly take away his power. He would rather settle for a slow death than a quick beating. It wasn't as satisfying, but I understand why they did it.

I liked it as well. Just rewatched the other day but I agree it could've been better. I just didn't really comment on it (I realized that's been the case with a few movies I forgot to post about). I liked how they still tried to add in the graphic scenes from the show but put a comedic twist on it.
I suggest ppl hold off on thinking it'll be a bad idea until DoFP. While Apocalypse isn't simply just some body snatching mutant over time he does need to switch bodies. It's in The Twelve storyline where he was gonna take over X-Man's body but ended up in Cyclops and from what I recall that was after over 2000 years of using his original body (I think) or 2nd/3rd body.Spoiler from "days of future past" and "apocalypse":

my girl and i watched prisoners with jake gyllenhall and hugh jackman..
wow, what a great movie, its been a while since i've watched a movie that had me on edge.
the only thing i didnt like was the ending, but i see how that could've made the movie really long.
i have been disappointed with all the movie that have come out recently, im waiting for american hustle and wolf of wallstreet.

I haven't seen Spring Breakers but I read that piece by James Franco a page or two back. That second paragraph when he goes on his low res MFA digression almost lost me and in a way I wish it did. Dude just says a whole bunch of nothing like he's bs'ing a school assignment.

Watching Home Alone 2 with this movie notes stuff is pretty cool.
I wish this was a feature embedded on Blu-rays. I like reading about locations and trivia stuff like that.
