Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

No love for The Big Lebowski, ska?

Great breakdown otherwise, though.

City Slickers was a movie I learned to love when I was in the 8th grade. Ended up watching it 4 times on a flight from NY to Paris for a school trip.

Kevin Cleveland:
I've actually been to the prison that most of the movie was shot in (also, scenes from Air Force Once, Tango & Cash, etc.).

It's an old reformatory in Mansfield (about 40 minutes away) that is now a tourist attraction and ghost-hunting hot spot. Pretty dope.

Oh WOW!!! Never knew that.

I'd cop.

DubA169:
I will send my list later tonight
Oh wait... I haven't read the last few pages, but are all the lists not in yet? Are you guys doing rounds or anything? I thought that the 12 I saw were like the first round picks, and that round was over.

Don't know why I thought that. Just did.

I had no idea Shawshank was the same prison as Tango and Cash.

That reminds me of a movie that I FAILED to choose.  Blood In, Blood Out.  Fantastic movie, terribly underrated.

I can tell by Ska's breakdown that he has yet to see the Usual Suspects, which could possibly be the best movie of my 10.

Ska, you will want to see the Usual Suspects simply by outstanding storytelling, as well as solid acting by 3-4 individuals.  Kevin Spacey was only getting started when that film came out.  He went on a run there for a while maybe 5 years or so that would be tough to match from any actor.  LA Confidential, Usual, American Beauty, The Negotiator, Outbreak, Seven, A Time to Kill

Filthy.  I dunno who has this type 5 year run in their resume.

You need to find a way to watch that movie ASAP. Jeff Bridges and John Goodman are GOLD. Buscemi and Julianne Moore are great, Peter Stormare makes for a perfect nihilist. It's not just one of the best comedies of the 90's, but one of the best movies overall. The directions the story takes are impossible to see coming, which I think is what makes it so great. You never know what's going to happen next.

Ska, all the lists are in, the draft is finished.  We're now collecting votes, which I think is what Dub meant.  The 12 owners have to submit their votes, exluding themselves.
Starting Monday we will being a new draft, the 2000's.

I'm kind of surprised no one took Dogma either.

I know I'm not the only one who would have sneezed milk if drinking any when seeing Buddy Christ for the 1st time.
