I feel like things were set up So that marriage would end horribly in typical MsW fashion :lol

Man, I just watched Life Aquatic again since its on netflix at the moment. It's the 4th time I've seen it and my reaction as changed dramatically every time. This ever happen to y'all?

First view(17 years old at the time): what is this trash? Stupidest most boring movie I've seen in a while.

Second viewing(early 20's): funny *** movie. Bill
Murray is a genius. Prob one of my fav movies.

Third viewing(mid 20's): it's good but so overrated compared to some of Wes andersons other films.

Recent viewing(30 yrs) the color composition is unparalleled in film. The set design is insane. Captain Steve Zissou's character makes me understand all things in life. His plight gives my life meaning. I'll never see a better film in my entire life

:lol :lol I'm slightly exaggerating the last viewing but damn it has impacted me in drastically different ways with each viewing, based on my better understanding in film and my different circumstances in my life that help me relate to the characters

This is a really good post man.
Film that does that, has done its thing imo.

Sounds like it hits home on all the fronts.
The last feelings on your last watch: I felt that way watching Arrival the first time.
I definitely thought back (as I do with all film now) to what I would have felt if I watched it as a teen or in my 20's or early 30's.
Those are all completely different times in my life and I received everything different in each phase.
Some things can't and won't be appreciated until you've lived a little.
Arrival didn't miss a beat for me, on anything.

I've never seen Life of the Aquatic.
Now I know I will watch it before May is over. (Netflix is popping right now and I have two shows to do after The Last Kingdom)

What's with Pirates of the Caribbean and the dead pirates and ****? are people really clamoring for that? like "haha I hope they do more dead pirate movies". I feel it would actually be entertaining if it was simply a high action/adventure swashbuckling pirates. This dead **** is goofy.

DC and anything fox marvel related status me.. I want so badly for all to be good, but the bad far outweighs the little good

First POTC and deadpool are the only complete movies I like

I enjoy like 85% of Logan.. like 70% of the wolverine.. everything magneto and professor related in first class (except when Raven is involved)

Then there are scenes.. opening of x2.. superman fighting the chick and big dude in MOS.. quicksilver scenes.. couple others

I've wanted to have sex with Betty Gilpin for quite some time now.

Went to high school with her and smashed 3 summers ago when she came to visit for a lil' mini HS reunion a bunch of us organized in the city.

She is THE ultimate ugly duckling. That body didn't develop until her 20's but always had a dope personality.

That's basically what it is :lol

The undead pirates is just tapping in to that whole pirates and curses, and myths which they are tied too.

:lol

Vids or it didn't happen.

Nah I've seen other entertaining pirate **** that touches on the themes then moves on to a human non cgi threat. This constant zombies on the high seas is nonsense.

I mean yeah there's other pirate stuff they could touch on but one of the sometimes focused on goals of Jack is to become immortal so there's no surprise he keeps getting in to supernatural ****.

The 4th one with Blackbeard didn't really have any zombie pirates but it had mermaids, the Black Pearl shrunken and inside of a bottle, and a magic sword that controlled an entire pirate ship.

That one just wasn't all that good.

2 & 3 had half of the main threat being a regular human though and the other half wasn't zombie pirates just cursed fish looking pirates.

After 1, things got a lil too absurd.. and CG went over the top

They toned it down in 4, but that movie just felt like it was goin go through the motions.. least 2 and 3 had a couple cool parts

Like it tried to correct the flaws of 2, 3 and Lone Ranger movie

Don't Breathe

5.2/8

Actually a pretty effective thriller until the climax. The punchline was laughable and disturbing at the same time. Pretty disappointed because RT had me hyped for another good horror/thriller.
