Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I just saw a commercial for Us, and it had a blurb calling it the best horror film of all time. A. I always get weary seeing that, but it won't stop me from seeing and most likely enjoying the hell out of it. B. I can just see the ridiculous NT complaints rolling in from wildly overestimated expectations, a la Get Out. "Was promised best horror movie ever, did not deliver, elbows too pointy. 2/10" [using pleb /10 scale].

With that said, I'm more excited every day for Us to come out.

Watched the first episode of HBO's Barry - Great. :smokin 7/8. Will try to catch up before March 31st but who knows.

Should've expected that after the surprise smash hit of Get Out.

Peele's movies now belong to the mainstream. They'll be overhyping his **** like crazy from here on out.

Same thing happened to Christopher Nolan although he had more time as an indie director with a cult following.

Searching 5.9/8

Hadn't even heard of this movie TBH, but was endlessly scrolling Xfinity On Demand and landed on it because it had a 96% on RT and it sounded like an interesting premise. I don't think I've ever seen John Cho in a serious role either.

Actually a pretty refreshing formula. It's "like" a found footage film, but the majority of it consists of Cho getting his NT detective on and scouring the internet and social media trying to solve the disappearance of his daughter. Started out real promising and was holding on, but I ended up not being satisfied with the twist. Could just be me. Still would recommend if you're looking for something a little different.

Smh at The Fix on ABC, looking like Marcia Clark's revenge porn.
Son when I first saw commercials I was like ok I like Tunney and I'm always down for my boy Adebisi/Mr. Eko but then I hear voiceover guy saying from former prosecutor Marcia Clark

 Then there are promo where she's in it basically saying this is some fantasy of hers.

I'm a bit tight Adebisi is even in this now

Crazy to me ABC even gave her a show :smh: Take that **** the Lifetime

for those who seen fighting with my family, was augustus heights supposed to be xavier woods? like tongue in cheek?

Triple Fronteir 5.5/8

This is a Netflix movie. After 30 min it really began to hit its stride but then after the crash back being netflix movie quality.

Oscar Isaac was good. Everybody else was serviceable. Nobody was bad. Story was okay.
You certainly rating it higher than me, I thought movie was trash. 4/8 if that, movie was so trash with ****y writing.

So I was organizing and clearing out my old files and I ran into this yesterday...

Hulu gets overlooked so often, I keep forgetting about it. I have Netflix, Prime, HBO, Verizon, then Hulu on the main bar when I turn on my TV.
