Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I know you've already seen the movie, but X-Men is Marvel. The theme of the movie is 'Multiverse of Madness.' That really sounded like his voice and it was a wheelchair.

And how many other so called leaks do you believe? :lol The marketing for MoM is A+. I think I said the movie left me wanting more in some areas, in my Marvel thread review...

I've literally heard or read zero, soooo I believe... zero of them?

Jesus H. Christ, it was a movie trailer for a multiverse Marvel movie featuring a guy in a wheelchair that sounded like Professor X, a Marvel character. Cotdamn, people...

Hannibal was a very unique film.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. Maybe it’s time for a recent viewing. Hell, maybe I’ll just start off with SOTL and work my way forward. Red Dragon was good as well.

Have you seen them all?

I have, as well as Manhunter, which was an earlier film version of Red Dragon directed by Michael Mann starring William Peterson as Will Graham. Bryan Cox is Lecter.

They’re all good movies.

Ok hold on, hold on... HOLD TF ON...

I've known about this new Dr. Strange for what, about a year now? Maybe longer? I haven't really paid attention to any trailers or anything because being a huge MCU fan, I knew me and my son were going to watch it. Really no point in a trailer, just been paying attention to the release date.

Just saw my 1st trailer right now, watching SportsCenter.

Dog if that wasn't Professor X… 👀👀👀👀

That is so cool. Are there any specific films that you feel make a good use of color?

I really like use of the color red in “The Sixth Sense” to convey something significant.

Kubrick was the master of color man I swear. I think he had some sort of ADD because of his excessive attention to detail, which led to infamous amounts of takes during filming. Lots of complaints over the years of his grueling re-shoots.

Anyways, I have a few favorite uses of color in film.

#1 for me is Wes Anderson. I won’t post every example, but I love the way he pics a color pallet for his film, then he uses that pallete in almost every single frame of the movie. It’s like his mission to maintain that little trademark of his.

#2 my favorite alltime movie is O’ Brother Where Art Thou? One reason besides the awesome script/funny lines is the color. Coen brothers went back and edited the entire film post-production because the filming location they picked out had an unforeseen rainy season prior to filming. This resulted in an unusually GREEN summer. Bright green grass. Bright blooming flowers. Movie was set in the depression era so it didn’t fit the dust-bowl setting of their movie. Long story short, they edited the film to give it a sepia tone making it look like drought conditions. Made the colors look so aged and REALLY made it fit that old-timey feel they wanted. My favorite use of color in film.

#3 Although this movie gets a lot of hate, I really liked the use of color in The Shape of Water. Guillermo Del Toro did something similar to Wes Anderson. He picked a palette and tried to use those colors in almost every scene. I like re-watching and trying to find those colors.

Sometimes it’s really obvious

Still a man of God though :emoji_pray:

I meant to post this after re-watching, but it's always cool to see the many reasons why this is a personal, and critical 8/8.

Every occurrence in the plot has a simple, and plausible reason for happening. Plausible given the theme of the movie, of course

I'm going to try and finish the "Apartment Trilogy" with The Tenant. Hopefully it's better than Repulsion, which was pretty bad imo

Bro Amber Heard really does think she's above the law in everything no?
***** legit did Cocaine while she was on the stand.....
Who does that?

Re: #1) It seems like Wes Anderson has a great awareness of the power of this technique, thus his reasoning of wanting to be persistent with it.

#2) I’ve never seen it, but I would love to check it out knowing it’s your favorite movie and to appreciate the various aspects you mentioned.

#3) I loved The Shape of Water so I hear you loud and clear. Man, you got me wanting to check it out again. It was a lot of fun and, in my opinion, highly rewatchable.

Thank you for this post. That was the most in-depth take I’ve ever read on the subject. Not to mention, you taught me a thing or two.

^^^ No, I totally believe it. Court is much more relaxed than you think. I always smoke a J right before I get up to argue. Calms the nerves a bit.

Long as you ask the judge if he/she wants a hit it’s cool.

Sounds like some make believe stuff you could make old people believe on Facebook. No one would do that.

Well.........:lol damnit, if I hadn't seen the video.......Iono man, I think she might have. :rollin 8o

She played it off as wiping her nose, but uh, yea, Iono......

Yeah, what she did up there definitely cannot be described as a typical nose wipe.

Anything is possible with crazy people, I guess.

Johnny had me dying when telling the story on how Heard took a poop on his side of the bed.

Dude wanted to and actually was laughing when telling it.

The story is so bizzard I believe it .....
