Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

What Tim do you guys like better Tim Hanks or Tim Cruise? 2030 sounds right.

Sad with Kilmer. Seen his doc. Didn’t know he was such a movie buff himself and a perfectionist. Hard to tell since some of his roles are questionable. Cancer man. Killed his career.

Glad he was somewhat in TG. Dude looked like a stud in his younger days.

He'd do it if the script is right.

Tim

Hanks as a person or at least what he portrays that bleed in to the characters he chooses.

Cruise for the movies.

Cruise will do TG3 when they start letting him actually fly the jets alone and shooting at the other actors for real. Dude is crazy like that. :lol

Not even Tom Cruise in 20 years could make those G force scenes believable. His Iron Man-like qualities worked this time, with the emotional pull of the Goose carryover, I don’t think he sees them as ever doing better so I think that’s a wrap.

not everybody. I only hate Jesse Eisenberg in that movie.
He was a bit annoying, seemed like the point.
I was really satisfied Story wise when it ended. Never was a Comic kid.
I’m watching Justice League now.
Just finished Zach Snyder Cut which I’d never seen but made fun of, so I felt it only right to put on Joss’ version and knock it out. After watching ZS’ 4hr+ Version this 2hr Joint is nothing. I’m half way through and boy is there a huge difference. Matters too.

You are studying DC like an NYU film student, I’ll give you that. You’re puttin in the work.

I'm hating not because he's annoying. I'm hating because he did a terrible job as Lex Luthor.

Well I don't think the next movie has to be in 20 years

Like I said right script and Tom is on board just like for Maverick.

I just watched 10 minutes of She’s All That and I forgot exactly how ridiculous it is. Freestyle rap at lunch about the prom queen race?

TG Maverick was amazing and the callbacks to the OG and dynamic between Cruise and Teller really worked. 7.5/8 for me.

Also I knew Jen Con wasn't in the OG but they really made it seem like her and Mav had some previous connection. Were they just supposed to have had some previous relationship not shown on screen???

I just have never liked the role.
Hated it when Hackman played it.
Hated it when Kevin Spacey played it.
Actually finally somewhat liked the way he was introduced and the limited or extended role he played and would.

Remember the OG mentioning Mav with one Admiral's Daughter? (Penny Benjamin)

Jen was said Admiral's Daughter.

Hmm guess I had forgotten the reference. Seems like a brief mention but thanks for pointing it out.

I read a review or comment somewhere basically saying the scene in the movie was in many ways Tom speaking to Val in real life and it kind of speaks to why Tom Cruise is such a maniac and why he's so dedicated why he's still doing what he's doing is because he can he's fortunate enough to be healthy to still have his body and his ability and his drive where is another great actor like Val Kilmer has been suffering and struggling and can't do the same things anymore so it's almost like Tom as Maverick was saying I can still do this so I must still do this so in a lot of ways this movie is kind of bigger than the role and it's kind of about Tom Cruise and his dedication to the craft and why he takes things so seriously it's cuz he feels like he's supposed to because he still can when I dig that a lot also I apologize for the run on sentences talking to my phone

Jennifer Connely is in the new Top Gun?
I haven’t watched the PREVIEW to it since way back, don’t recall. Might speed up my plans on viewing.
