Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Just rewatched Chernobyl for like the 4th time. GOAT miniseries?
I just started this lastnight.
Can't wait to get back to it this weekend, and I only got 15minutes or so in before passing out.

I have been saving it specifically for NBA ASWeekend when there are 0 sports on.
I will for sure finish it tonight-tomorrow.

Re: Movies you’ve seen plenty of times. This one right here. Seriously. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen it. It has terrible reviews. It has a 3 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But I don’t care. I love it.

That looks... devious. 😬 The title, the poster, the red tint: all uh-oh. 🤣

Hmm. A Historical Drama. Interesting. I have it available for me to watch as of now. Is it kind of gloomy and/or depressing? Not that I have a problem with that kind of subject matter, but sometimes I have to be in the right frame of mind to deal with dark subjects. Interested in knowing that, so I’m prepared before I decide to give it a watch. Thanks.
I wouldn't necessarily call it depressing or dark, but, I mean, we all know the story of Chernobyl. It's not a happy story. 😬

The miniseries gives more insight into some behind the scenes details that I was actually verifying as I was watching it. I have a feeling tons of other people were doing the same because when I would start to type a word or 2 into Google search at the time, it would complete with the exact detail I was trying to research. I think accuracy is a major reason why it did so well. You would see something on screen and then go 'No way,' then look it up and it was like 'Hoooollllly ****, that actually happened! What an absolute cluster****.'

Re: Emily the Criminal
Can 10000% confirm operations like the beginning of this movie exist.
If anyone was wondering.
Don't know if this is what she does the rest of the movie, but yeah.

I’m out looking for thrift copies of fast and furious. No luck, but has anyone ever heard of this movie? How is this NOT part of the franchise.

I think that's that one movie where The Rock successfully takes on a whole fleet of guys and at this one point a damsel in distress is hanging off of something and he reaches down and pulls her up with one arm.
